Re: Scarefest

Wouldn't the food stalls be in the way if the queue was to go that side? Also, I think it was reported in a write up that the entrance would be on Towers Street by Birmingham Mail? Overall, I'm looking forward to it! I must not have seen that article in that case! Was thinking with the food stalls ...

Re: SW8 Speculation and Discussion

There are valid arguments about fire effects being expensive to run etc but with regards to safety, just because the ride is wooden doesn't mean that there has to be any sort of risk from using fire, it just has to be a safe distance away from the structure, that's all. I don't know if this ride wil...

Re: Alton Towers Resort - Quick Questions

Hi everyone. I really want to do Alton Towers scarefest this year but I'll be travelling without a car this time. So I know it will make sense to stay in a hotel over night, which is what I'm going to do, but I need directions on how to get To Alton Towers. I managed to reach Thorpe Park on my own ...

Crissy's calf has been born! All is going swimmingly so far as the park welcomes the 9th member of its Beluga Whale pod! https://scontent.fman1-2.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t31.0-8/fr/cp0/e15/q65/21543910_10156223254262565_7911968108563101269_o.jpg?efg=eyJpIjoidCJ9&oh=484a42204b5c5ca1759db7bb87103bc0&o...

Re: SW8 Speculation and Discussion

The themig structure is considerably taller than the surrounding ride structure, if they are going to launch fire it could be done from towards the top of the theming structure. This would leave some room for safety.

Re: SeaWorld Orlando

SeaWorld Orlando is currently caring for many animals that have had to be rescued or relocated due to Hurricane Irma. Five Bottlenose Dolphins arrived from Dolphin Connection prior to the storm, several Manatees have been rescued and the aviculture team continues to care for displaced and injured bi...

Re: SW8 Construction Discussion

As long as the main theming element looks good and the station/pre show buildings are well themed I'll be happy.

I do hope that they keep everything consistent with the overall feel of the ride such as the queue line shop and extension queue areas.

Re: SeaWorld Abu Dhabi

I would very much like to see some coasters in the final park, but I don't think it necessarily needs them, especially given the number of rollercoaster parks opening in the UAE recently. Facilities like Georgia Aquarium attract around 3 million visitors a year without having a single ride.

Re: SeaWorld Abu Dhabi

I've got a pretty significant update on SeaWorld Abu Dhabi here :) A friend of mine managed to find a concept image of SeaWorld Abu Dhabi. It is not of the best quality, and is also upside down, but I will run through what it may reveal to us below. Just remember, I have no information on the accura...

Re: SW8 Speculation and Discussion

Didn't the station plans reveal that there will be 24 riders per train?

The throughput without this would be appaling.

The ride should be called Wicker head & shoulders rather than Wicker Man.

In all seriousness, this looks like it will be very impressive!

Re: SeaWorld Abu Dhabi

Just a thought, As this park is fully indoors, I'm assuming it will take Ferrari World's record of 'World's Largest Indoor Park'? I'm fairly sure Ferrari World doesn't hold that record anyway. That would be IMG Worlds Of Adventure if I'm not mistaken? That said, if the figures on the Wikipedia page...
