Re: Alton Towers Resort - Quick Questions

Your best option is probably getting a train to Uttoxeter as I believe this is the closest stop to Towers, and then getting a taxi.

I'm not sure if this counts but there is the most amazing farm shop/restaurant incredibly close to Alton Towers. It's lovely and does a great Sunday lunch/Sunday baps.

Oooh what's it called?

Re: PortAventura/ Ferrari Land - August 2017

I'm not too sure, as I have an annual pass so don't know how normal tickets work!

One thing I would suggest is getting a ticket for the Waterpark. After your day in the park you can buy a discounted ticket to go in the waterpark the next day. It's a brilliant waterpark!

Re: PortAventura/ Ferrari Land - August 2017

On Furius Baco, keep your head back for the launch (obviously) but after the launch I find placing my head forwards helps. Also, sit in the inside seats for a smoother ride.

Dragon Khan isn't too rough. Just sit back and enjoy.

Re: How many visits per year?

So far this year I've spent 5 days at Alton Towers, and I have a further 2 days planned in a couple of weeks. Also hoping to spend a couple of days there during scarefest, which would bring this year's total to 9 days, beating last year's total by 1 :lol

Re: Alton Towers - General Discussion

Ooooh I might have a go on this! Any more info such as when it's open, is it a 'just turn up' sort of thing or do you need to book a time?

Re: Last Game You Played and Your Rating

8/10 - Planet Coaster It's a great game but there's quite a few bugs, and the coaster editor isn't that great. Once those issues are sorted out it would be a 10/10! 10/10 - Euro Truck Simulator Like Burniel, I'm a little obsessive over this game! I play it way too much! The trucks are incredibly det...

Re: Six Flags Fiesta Texas

It appears that the test track set up at RMC's offices/workshop is in fact a segment from the Wonder Woman coaster!

Marmalader? That sounds tasty. Is it a food and beverage unit?

Re: Phantasialand

Supports have gone up over at Phantasialand. The support is for track at a 90° angle, so the new Vekoma prototype as seen in this video seems even more likely.

Re: Blackpool Pleasure Beach

They don't really need to rush with construction. Steel coasters take a fraction of the time to construct compared to a woodie. This is why we won't be seeing track on site just yet.

All good things come to those who wait ;)
