Re: Past rides: "Where are they now?" The Guide

After a bit of research, I think I have found the Mississippi Showboat! And yes it still lives on in even greater glory than it did at Alton Towers! The time that the boat left Alton Towers, another boat with a strikingly similar resemblance popped up at another theme park in the south of Spain. Tiv...

Re: How will London Paramount impact UK theme parks?

I see everyone's points as being valid, my own opinion is that while London Paramount will most likely focus on Intelluctual Property owned by them or their partners, I think that THORP PARK RESORT will need to add more one off experiences and probly remove most of the smaller rides and keep buildin...

Re: Disneyland Paris- Worth going?

Wether it is worth going depends on the rides you will want to ride. Bear in mind that crowd will be larger than normal during 2017 (25 Anniversary)

Definatley Duel's queue! Every time I go through it I keep swaying and tumbling from side to side, I don't know why but it just seems to disorientate me!!

Best Restaurant Poll: Alton Towers

As you will know, Alton Towers have many wonderfull places to eat after a long day in the park. But which is the best place to eat after the park closes? Now you can have your say! Consider food, atmosphere, theming, staff etc.

NOTE: This poll only includes options open after the park closes.

Re: M&D's

How long till Merlin buy it :lol Maybe it's too bad for even Merlin to consider :? Have you never seen this park before?? I'm not surprised! Merlin would never waste their money on this park, even if it wouldn't cost them much to buy the place outright! It would be unprofitable, even if they tried ...

Re: M&D's

I'm quite surprised no-ones mentioned the bad attitude and anti professionalism of the staff yet. Some of the staff in the food outlets stand there like zombies and quite literally look as if they had just gotten out of bed. They don't even talk and be polite when paying for items. There have been t...

Re: CBeebies Land Hotel - 2017

Alton Towers need to think how many people actually come specifically to visit Cebeebies Land and research how many of them would like to stay in such a hotel! At worst this hotel could end up extremely un popular; parents wouldn't want to endure a whole evening of Cebeebies torture, families with y...

Re: Forbidden Valley Future

I feel that Forbidden Valley would change quite little in the future. I think that the area up till Galactica will keep a similar, if not the exact same Forbidden Valley theme and still use the name Forbidden Valley. A new ride might have been added to the former Ripsaw site and possibly a new ride ...

What will Alton Towers be like in 50 years?

So I was wandering what you thought Alton Towers would be like in the long term future, will they have added new themed area, which of the Secret Wepons will have been removed, what state will the towers be in, will they have re themed any of the hotels or would they even open another theme park to ...

Re: Future of Towers Street

Alton Towers won't ever move the park entrance. It would make no sense at all. First of all they would have to build the entrance and build a place for guests to buy merchandise. Moving it over to the area I between Gloomy Wood and Forbidden Valley would make no sense either as it would give a few c...

Re: The Future of Sonic Spinball

Scene as they're removing the Sonic theming and reverting it back to Spinball Whizzer, I think this is a great time to give the whole area surrounding Spinball Whizzer (Adventure Land) a bit of a facelift. I've always imagined that that area would be great as a CBBC mini land connected to the nearby...

Re: On-Ride Breakdown Experiences

I don't think this was an actual ride breakdown, but in July 2015 whilst riding up the Air lift hill, the coaster suddenly stopped. My brother just turned to me with a terrified look and to make him more scared I replied "oh god" whilst going on to explain that if the train were to roll ba...

Re: The Future of Sonic Spinball

Sonic Spinball is an absolutely great ride for all the family. However I do think that a Cebeebies expansion could threaten the rides future at the park. I think that if they do want to expand Ceebibies Land, they should move Sonic Spinball to the old Coaster Corner as an expansion of Cloud Cookoo ...

Re: Alton Towers ownership future

Regarding to my previous post, I mabe wasn't as specific as I should have been in the matter. Prestbury Investment Holdings Ltd. could obviously not sell the land of Alton Towers until after Prestbury Investment Holdings Ltd. and Merlin Entertainment Group both agree to end the 35 year re-newable le...

Re: Alton Towers ownership future

As I see many people are saying that Merlin don't run the park very well I thought I might as well get a few facts straight. The Merlin Enteratinments Group dons NOT own Alton Towers. On the 22 May 2007 Merlin completed the purchase of Tussauds and acquired attractions, Madame Tussaud's, The London ...
