Re: Thorpe Park Resort - The Future

Is this the competition? IET Faraday Challenge Days 2017-18 The 2017-18 season of Faraday Challenge Days is set to be our biggest season to date! These events will be aimed at Year 8 (England) and their equivalents across the whole of the UK.  The challenge this year will be kept under wraps until ...

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - The Future

I have recently participated in an engineering Jack Petchy run challenge sponsored by Thorpe Park. I haven't won but whoever wins the finals will help Merlin Magic Making theme the new attraction near Old Town, or in it, possibly on the Logger’s Leap site. Don't wanna sound like a downer, but have ...

Re: 2015-2019: Possible Developments?

Just gonna put it out there, I think nearly every area should have a flat ride, DF, CCL (which really needs attention or a re-theme) GW, and one to replace Ripsaw in FV.

It’s very unlikely, but I’d love more to be added to Towers Street!

Re: Duel and the Gloomy Wood - A future?

I think that Gloomy Wood should have a horror water ride. The horror element could make it really scary. It will bring some thrill seekers missing Nemesis Sub-Terra which at the rate it is going will probably never reopen. It could be indoor or outdoor. Sorry, I just had to say, after the demolitio...

Re: The Walking Dead: The Ride - New for 2018

At least they're not advertising and boasting about the fact that it can charge phones! Looks great, theming looks fantastic looking forward to it. Hey doesn't that sound familiar, Galactica world's first dedicated vr coaster! or TWD the ride, can charge phones! Seriously I know phones are popular w...

Re: The Walking Dead: The Ride - New for 2018

Guys - I think you're all gonna be a bit surprised by this when it opens. I was part of the event with Jordan and there are some really fun elements to this ride, before, during and after the main ride experience. And it's not just a quick retheme and a splash of gloomy paint - the attraction tells...

Re: The Walking Dead: The Ride - New for 2018

But are you still allowed on it if you’re under 13? I get these things confused. I can go on it, but I have the mental age of a 5 year old so is that a suggestion or is it a rule?

Re: The Walking Dead: The Ride - New for 2018

C'mon guys, is there nothing left to speculate? Lets talk! The only thing i have as a conversation starter is, it would be cool ift he zombies scared you in the unload bay or chase you out of the exit, that might be possible due to the bottom left of this picture  https://www.instagram.com/p/BfbN1VE...

Re: Wicker Man General Discussion

Do you think anything big will be in the shed? I hope so, it will make the ride way better. The shed could look like its on fire! That would be cool what do you think? (Wait a minute i saw a video which revealed, that infact nothing is in the shed, you go into a dark room, then come back to the ...

Re: The Walking Dead: The Ride - New for 2018

I agree that the 'sticker' :D is an eye sore, hopefully this might be just a construction thing to tell people what the ride will be, I hope it wont stay there! :@ Does anyone know the official opening date, because im going to Thorpe soon? And also what do you think of the question in my previous p...

Re: The Walking Dead: The Ride - New for 2018

I think I might have changed my mind about this. I thought it would be boring and have a lack of theming, but now I've seen those photos, I think the ride will be good as long as the theming is just as good through out the whole ride. The last picture got me thinking, in the unload bay could a zombi...

Re: The Walking Dead: The Ride - New for 2018

Is this really happening? It’s a shame, it will be a boring coaster, the name obviously should have The Walking Dead: The Ride as it is long and repetitive with two 'the's' and the syllables dont match. I also agree that it’s a shame it wont be one of the only rave/light hearted/disco themed coaster...

Re: Project 2020

Wait, is it confirmed X is being rethemed? If so i am going to be so angry, X is an alright theme, there’s no need to change it to The Walking Dead! I hate The Walking Dead, if it were to be rethemed I would love it to go back to X:\ No Way Out.  Surely the new ride has got to be on Swarm Island. Wh...

Re: Project 2020

If they were to use an IP, I think they would use The Walking Dead, as they have the licence for the mazes and there was speculation on a ride being themed to it. I highly doubt they will give Project 2020 an IP, but if they do, I hope it isn’t The Walking Dead as I hate it. On another note, do you ...

Re: Wicker Man General Discussion

There is still a major issue, having to look behind you to see the wicker man on fire. Does anyone have any thoughts? You enter the structure three times I believe, twice from one side and once from the other, the fact it has the ram's head and wicker man means it will I assume be set up for all of...

Re: Wicker Man General Discussion

I hope the theming is incredible as I'm worried about the length of the ride, but knowing them, they'll have some sort of other gimmick to make it worth while, anyway I'm sure the Wicker Man will be definitely enough. Do you think they will add that 'fire' to the sound tunnels, because that would be...

Re: Wicker Man General Discussion

Wow, a lot has happened. I think it is great to have another family coaster, as when I went as a child the only ride I could go on other than Twirling Toadstool and Ice Age (which i didnt want to go on at the time) was Spinball Whizzer, and I was bored waiting for my parents to get off rollercoaster...
