I tend to put mine in my bag prior to riding.

The vault needs some lighting and sound work too.

Re: Alton Towers Resort - General Discussion

With Galactica the reason I found for the slow moving queue was indeed the demand for it. The queue was going up past the VR no VR merge (which was very close to the station) so once we got to the merge point and noticed that non VR was walk on we were left a little disappointed due to this.

Re: The Smiler - General Discussion

Seems to be something less long term which is a problem with lift 2 TVs as they were on yesterday.

Re: The Smiler - General Discussion

When I went yesterday a train or two were roaring (like in 2013) and the others were quieter. Does anyone know if the trains have different wheel compounds for a particular reason?

Re: 2015-2019: Possible Developments?

Walliam's books seem to cover a wide audience of readers and would be the bridging gap between CBeebies Land and some of the other areas of the park! This could be very interesting stuff!

Re: Wicker Man General Discussion

You might have gotten lucky, or I unlucky. Think I queued from about the same pace, took 50 minutes. We were moving fairly steadily at the start, but had slowed greatly by the time we reached the shop. We joined 20 minutes before ride close and they seemed to want to get it moving as fast as possib...

Re: The Smiler - General Discussion

Indeed all the TVs were back on, some had dead pixels etc, the inncoculator didn’t operate yesterday, and I did see the strobe in the projection room. These are steps in the right direction, but I was just saying that the ride is still in a very tired state.

Re: The Smiler - General Discussion

I am sorry to tell you guys but The Smiler unfortunately still looks like it is in a horrible state, although giving a smooth back row ride! I was surprised to see it operating on 4 trains today today and whether it helped to speed the queue up or not I am not sure as I always used the single rider ...

Re: Wicker Man General Discussion

Aha I was there today. Stay tuned for a review soon but operations were bad on opening with it breaking down before 10:00 and again at around 10:50ish. The flames were working at the start of the day however soon stopped and later in the day it was only out of one shoulder. Dispatches were fast too!...

Re: The Walking Dead: The Ride - New for 2018

My friend went to Thorpe in the holidays. He said it was fairly quiet and queue 15 minutes for TWDTR and he said it was 'sick', which shows that some of the target market GP like it.

Disneyland Paris have done it with 'Disney Illuminations: Presented by Pandora'. Which I think is a good example about what you said about finding relevant brands to sponsor things with.

Re: Merlin General Discussion

They will never catch up with Disney. Disney care about their guests. Disney give enough money to their parks so they can operate them with no closures. Guests don't feel like a number on a spreadsheet. If Merlin cared more about their guests, made sure that all their rides were open and provided a ...

Re: On-Ride Breakdown Experiences

We were loaded on to Oblivion, staff restraint-checked and were all clear for dispatch however we couldn’t move forward. 15 minutes later we were told to get off and wait at the exit while they tested before then being told to board the ride again. It probably didn’t help that the temperature was 30...

Re: Wicker Man General Discussion

It is likely Merlin saving money or poor quality of effects. Where abouts did you join the queue at the times you rode?
