Re: Th13teen - General Discussion

Yeah I'd agree with the first statement thats its very well paced which is probably why it feels so good to ride, I feel thirteen is really overlooked outside of AT when I think anyway it a really top notch experience of its sound track queue line theming(especially on a rainy day or dark day) and o...

Re: Towers Loving Care

Been expecting this since the last update last year and can't wait to see how it works out and what the sound track sounds like. Hope the soundtrack is more like the general gloomy wood theme to the duel one.

Re: Alton Towers Resort - General Discussion

This really surprised me when I saw it promoted. I really like it though I'd never do it due to not being able to go to towers often. Its a nice touch that will add alot of personality to where they're added and reminds me of the entrances in planet coaster

Re: Towers Loving Care

The lastest update from Towers Loving Care on the completion of the nemesis refurbishment. The Nemesis monster refurbishment is complete. It has taken over 2,500 hours of expert scenic painters time and was such a huge project that it scaled over 3 closed seasons. We hope you agree that it was well ...

Re: Towers Loving Care

Don't look down! Lots of painting around Oblivion this last week, including the queue line returning to the original silver colour, station bays and ride control booth. Oblivion turns 20 yrs old on March 14th this year, will you be taking the plunge? https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DUj_EI-XUAEfMg9?form...

Re: Alton Towers Resort - General Discussion

Don't get me wrong this is an improvement but still its really not much better for a park of its calibre to be operating these hours especially on year as big as this. Advertising in my opinion is grand if not done over the top after all you are paying in.

Re: Alton Towers Resort - General Discussion

Forgive me if this has already been mentioned. But why invest in a brand new hotel, and build a multi million pound ride, if you can’t afford to keep existing rides operating all day? Don’t get me wrong, we all wanted a new coaster. Cool. But is it worth all of the cuts that have been made else whe...

Re: Alton Towers Resort - General Discussion

If you have not already visited Europa park, then I urge you to do so.  It's the best park in Europe IMO, the rides run like clockwork and the theming is amazing.  It will open your eyes to how short-changed we are at ALL the Merlin parks in the UK.   Agreed. And if anyone is concerned about the pr...

Re: Alton Towers Resort - General Discussion

As someone who has to travel between countries to get to the Towers and would stay in the resort for the ERT, whats the point now? The day is so much shorter for someone who can't come back easily, I've 2 days minimum but most of the park is closed until 11. Even if the ERT selection wasn't good in ...

Re: SW9

I really doubt we'll get a valey coaster let alone a wing coaster in it. I would hope we'll get a launch coaster of some sort to replace rita that fits the area better. I think we may something in forbidden valley as prior to the smiler accident they were marking the ground at points and clearing tr...

Re: Towers Loving Care

The Towers Loving Care Facebook page has posted for the first time, this year, with more updates planned from tomorrow! Happy New Year everyone! Sorry we’ve been so quiet, we’ve been busy doing tons of Towers Loving Care projects all over the Resort! We will start posting about them tomorrow with p...

Re: Wicker Man General Discussion

I didnt expect the name to be the wickerman but its good. Also really liking the look those trains. Regarding the "worlds first aspect" aspect I doubt they'll use that too much in marketing as they did with the smiler which only used the 14 inversions sometimes in marketing. I think we'll ...

Re: The Future of Oblivion (20th and Beyond)

To be honest I would think the complete polar opposite. In my eyes, when Merlin or Towers get rid of something, it's because it's past it's sell by date. They wouldn't be able to market it like they did when they created the original Oblivion, unless they did something stupid like "the worlds ...

Re: The Future of Oblivion (20th and Beyond)

Thats more likely than any other extension I'd say and I think the park would benefit from an improved dive coaster that uses the tunnel as much as I love oblivion

Re: The Future of Oblivion (20th and Beyond)

I've said this in another thread but the issue is that modifying an existing ride is a dangerous game, especially one as old as Oblivion because you could ruin the ride or the cost can change due to unforseen issues. The most likely change that could be made to the track would be an extension at the...

Re: SW8 Construction Discussion

It’s been a few weeks since I've been on here, some really great developments since I last visited. I’m really enjoying seeing it take shape and definitely agree that testing has begun. Also, that headchopper will be something if it’s at speed.
