Re: Fright Nights

I wonder what final cut cinema will be. I couldn't find any info on it. Also does anyone know where the VIP lounge would be? I'm kinda curious where they'd put it and what would be in it. The Final Cut will be a special Fright Fest burger sold for the event, much like RCR's Pulled Pork Devil Firecr...

Re: Scarefest

Just to point out the 'T' symbol looks like the wicker man trademark Lane IP filed.

EDIT:There seems to be symbols on the person's hand on three fingers, I think it says SW8 but it's hard to tell.

Re: Chessington - The Future

Merlin have applied a trademark for 'Tiger Rock' which is most likely the new name for Dragon Falls.  Also I wonder if they will they will change the the station as it is a very nice themed station and I wouldn't want it to disappear. This project very nicely themed and I hope the theming level stay...

Re: SW8 Construction Discussion

They did get the people who themed baron? I heard that somewhere but I can't where and if its true but it'd explain the look of the themeing. They got Universal Rocks to do the rockwork on SW8 who also did the rockwork for Klugheim(Taron and Raik) at Phantasialand.  I'm impressed to see something a...

Re: Scarefest

Wouldn't the food stalls be in the way if the queue was to go that side? Also, I think it was reported in a write up that the entrance would be on Towers Street by Birmingham Mail? Overall, I'm looking forward to it! I must not have seen that article in that case! Was thinking with the food stalls ...

Re: Legoland: The Great Lego Race VR Coaster (3 Parks)

I'm assuming the VR was made by Figment Productions?  I also wouldn't be suprised if we saw extra Lego VR coasters come to other Legoland parks at some point in the future.  Also the issue here is that the Legoland parks get higher attendence than the Theme Park Resorts and signifigantly larger queu...

Re: SW8 Speculation and Discussion

What about the fire effects used on Scorpion Express at CWoA? Isn't this a Steel ride anyway? Scorpion Express is a Mack Powered coaster and indeed a Steel coaster.  Just a thought, The Swarm's fire effect only goes once every 3 trains and water effects the other times. With Scorpion Express as it ...

Re: The Drawing Board: Dark Forest Concepts

A vertical launch coaster? Is their any of them already in the world? How would that work? Or does rip ride rockit sort of count as that. I'd of taken Rip Ride Rockit at towers for sure! I believe it would of been the same model as Wicked at Lagoon in Utah which was made by Zierer. On another topic...

Re: Thorpe Park - General Discussion

If I remember correctly there was talk that Rumba was set for an overhaul for next year, so that may be way! An Overhaul as in retheme like Dragon Falls is going under or overhaul as in refurb like Hex went under? I wouldn't think a retheme is too likely as Merlin wouldn't want it to clash wit Tige...

Just a thought, As this park is fully indoors, I'm assuming it will take Ferrari World's record of 'World's Largest Indoor Park'?

As a fan of Dark rides and Flying coasters(And Vekoma's) I can't help but feel excited for F.L.Y and I hope I get the chance to ride it one day!

Re: Area Speculation and Discussion

I'm thinking The Courtyard and SW8 will form a new sub-area within Mutiny Bay/Katanyga Canyon/Gloomy Wood. Think how The Swarm has it's own area or Thorpe Jct as a sub area within The Jungle/Old Town/Calamity Cove at Thorpe Park. Pagan Mythology and Pirates will be able to live alongside each other ...

Re: Alton Towers - General Discussion

From 9am on Monday 4th September, Alton Towers will be holding an eBay auction of 30 boats from The Flume, along with ride signage and its height board, in order to raise money for Merlin's Magic Wand. More details are available on the Resort's website  where there is also a catalogue of items. Hmm...

I could see a B&M/Mack Hyper/Giga coaster fit in between Loggers Leap and the entrance.  https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/169849842745475072/352468679251853313/tphyper.PNG I mean it would have it's station and lift hill where Loggers Leap is and have a curved drop and go into a bunch of Ai...

Re: Six Flags General Discussion

We also know SFNE is getting a Zamperla Giant Discovery and SFA is looking at a VR addition. So that's four Six Flags parks we know are getting. So I recon the announcement will be a mix of what we've seen in previous years.

The future doesn't look bright for Colossos . The future of Europe's largest wooden roller coaster does not look rosy.  The largest wooden rollercoaster in Europe has been grounded since July 2016 for urgent maintenance and repair work. Early this year, Heide Park announced that Colossos will r...

Re: SW8 Speculation and Discussion

Merlin aren't stupid, there's a reason for dark themes, they sell, to the average member of the GP who doesn't visit Towers often and maybe not visited at all, when they book their trip to Towers it will be mainly for the park's newest ride. When someone sees the words 'Psychological' or 'Intense' o...

Re: Alton Towers - General Discussion

I don't think this really fits into anywhere but I would like to see a Coca-Cola Freestyle and Coca-Cola Super Freeze at Towers. I mean the Coca-Cola Freestyle at Thorpe Park looks successful, why not have one at Towers  :D  Another small thing I would like Alton Towers to add is Coaster Climbs, I w...
