Re: Alton Towers Resort - Quick Questions

The atmosphere is exceptional for both of these events but be warned that fireworks nights have been know to hit capacity. Then you’ve got 3 hour queues for rides and hour queues for food and it all gets a little hectic If you’re only aim is rides in the dark and short queues then I’d avoid firework...

Re: Project 2020

No problem :)
Yes with all the uncertain hints, there must be some kind of official tease soon probably an image of some kind with '2020'. Only time will tell!

(you accidentally double posted Justin)

Hmm the image is certainly interesting. It is either a complete accident or a serious hint but I'm not sure that they would have been told much yet. It's still very early

I just looked it up and it sounds amazing! Shame I don’t have a console and single player on windows doesn’t sound as good as multiplayer

Re: The Alton Towers Dungeon - New for 2019?

A decent non-coaster addition is certainly good for Alton. Perhaps not particularly great value for money for those who don't want to ride the coasters though if it's an upcharge.  :P If this is a 2019 addition, we should see signs of construction soon (although most of the prospective locations al...

Re: Towers Loving Care

Personally, I'd like to see it returned to Dark Forest where Ug Swingers was and rethemed to a tree. Well it seems to be only the main shell that is in serious disrepair so this could be a possibility. I can't imagine this part would be too difficult to replace, and a new one would be perfect if it...

Re: Your worst experience at Alton Towers

Most of the time when I have had problems at Alton they have broken out the Priority Passes to placate me including getting return ones for Thirteen that I got in February due to it ceasing operation as <5 deg (used recently to bypass a 1.5hr Congo Rapids que).  wished thorpe park did this after I ...

I like the Thorpe skyline one. I hope they try to do more with the Thorpe island brand in the future

https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/433239765593358336/486163170935832576/Capture.PNG Even today when some schools are back we are looking at high queues. Even Enterprise has a queue! Do bear in mind that the ride times are often very unreliable so the queues are likely much higher than this

Re: As an Alton Towers fanboy/fangirl, what comments hurt you the most

The 'rollercoasters hurt people' stuff really gets to me and its not helped by all these top 10 dangerous rollercoaster videos that show moderately scary rides and say this is so dangerous I would never ride this and have the fake thumbnail of the loop with missing track. Really annoys me

Re: On-Ride Breakdown Experiences

Well at Alton Towers I can't remember a ride ever actually breaking down while I've been on it. Most is just say a 5 minute stop at the end or in the station before the announcement of 'Do not take phones, cameras, or loose objects' on the ride is played and operations return. Did have to wait for ...

Re: Silver Dollar City

Unless the camera was attached to the chassis and not the spinning seats. Good thinking. Looking at the spinning POV, it looks like a great ride and actually not too sickening :) Execs from Silver Dollar City originally tried a spinning train on Blue Fire but decided it was far too intense and woul...

Re: B&M Discussion

I've found B&M to be quite stagnant over the past few years. They really haven't done much in a while and the limelight has been going towards manufacturers like RMC. I haven't been keeping up on Asian additions which may be quite prolific at the moment.

Its nice to see them investing in new attractions across the chain. The 2 major new coasters look brilliant. The video however, was painful to watch. Does he know he's not funny???

Re: Six Flags Magic Mountain

Six Flags have announced West Coast Racers is their 2019 roller coaster. Labelled as the worlds first racing launched coaster, it will circuit the track twice, meaning you will experience four launches and reach speeds of 55mph. More info at the link below: https://www.ocregister.com/2018/08/29/six...

I work at Thorpe, and it is for the queue times, and there is a phone line for it here. Not sure why they would put posters up though

So why is there a poster at Zombie Hunt?

The system doesn't use a phone number to update queue lines. At Alton at least, the ops use an iPad. I've spoken to the staff about it.

Re: The Couch

The disabled pass allows up to 3 ‘carers’ with the person. At least one of them must be over 12. These can be family members. A disabled guest would a have a pretty rubbish day if they used the disabled queue with one family member then sat on a bench for an hour waiting for the rest of their famil...
