Re: LEGO Roller Coaster

I really want to get the LEGO Roller Coaster, but I also have a pretty long list of things I want at the moment.... I have a feeling this year is going to be pretty costly

Re: Dark ride ideas

The only issue I would have if The Smiler was enclosed would be what would it look like from the outside? Surely this would cause a bit on an eyesore? Having said that, I'd imagine the things that could be done on the inside could create a truly phenomenal experience, perhaps at a Disney level, if d...

Re: Blackpool Pleasure Beach

When you compare the complete experiences with each other, I think Wicker Man will just come out on top of Icon, simply because it's so much more than just a coaster. It's something unique that will stick in people's minds, whereas Icon, whilst it will be remembered as a simply fantastic coaster, it...

Re: Nemesis - General Discussion

Oh, well it's a good sign if the train is now nearly back together! Hopefully it'll be in operation very soon!

Re: Parc Asterix

I'm guessing this will be to compete with Disneyland Paris' Walt Disney Studios transformation which begins around 2020.

Certainly exciting though! I wonder what these new elements they are talking about are...

Re: Disneyland Resort Paris

Any word on if they'll be buying all the land and pathways outside the park from the French government? It's not great leaving the park and having to weave between people selling low quality toys off of blankets. That wasn't mentioned at the event. To be honest, I hadn't actually heard that it was ...

Re: Disneyland Resort Paris

That's an impressively long list of updates they'll be making! I'm surprised they're recommissioning the Mark Twain. The last time I saw that the wood at the front was mostly rotten and it looked like they were just using it to salvage parts for the Molly Brown. But will the changes to the counter ...

Re: Disneyland Resort Paris

Disneyland Paris InsidEARS  On Friday evening, Disneyland Paris held an event to give fans a glimpse at what is in store for the future of the resort! I've put together a summary of most of the announcements that were made. Mickey et son Orchestre PhilharMagique – one of the main announcements was ...

Re: Oblivion - General Discussion

I originally dismissed Oblivion because of how short it looked. I eventually did decide to go on it, but only because I wanted to look down the hole. And what can I say, it's extremely exhilarating, and although it's a short ride, that doesn't detract from its sheer intensity! Really love Oblivion n...

Re: The Smiler - General Discussion

It's probably because the queue screens spend too much of their time turned off. :(

Re: Alton Towers Resort - General Discussion

Exactly. As the report says, I think that in general the UK theme and amusement park industry is pretty slow (but steady) at the moment, due to a possible lack of consumer confidence caused by Britain leaving the EU (among other things, likely). I suspect that that may change in 2018, for a quite fe...

Hahaha yeah, I see what you mean!

Looks like a great coaster though, although sadly I won't be riding it this year.

Re: Alton Towers Resort - General Discussion

I  have to admit, whilst I obviously wasn't expecting sky rocket attendance figures at Alton Towers, I am still a little disappointed. I had though that they would have been just that little bit higher than 2M. Having said that, the TEA re port does suggest some reasons for the lack of growth i...

Re: Wicker Man General Discussion

Well, the flames are currently not working. Wether that is because they are genuinely broken, or have some sort of problem etc., or given Merlin's track record, they might  be turned off to save on some money. Judging by their track record, I would not put it past them to have them turned off... and...

Re: Wicker Man General Discussion

They've been replying on Twitter that the "Beornen are preparing for the summer solstice and the fire will be lit soon"... that could be interpreted in any number of ways, but if it was broken, wouldn't they say something along the lines of "our teams are doing everything they can to ...

Re: Alton Towers Resort - General Discussion

I mean, even though it is their responsibility to call out any wrongdoings, they way in which they did it was extremely rude, which was unnecessary. I just think that on a whole, this year, the professionalism, knowledgeability and customer service has all declined, for whatever reason.. :(
