LEGO have finally announced a working roller coaster set!!! Yay!! Looks like that's my Christmas present sorted for yet another year! :D https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DbtoPeJXcAASzjM?format=jpg For anyo ne who want s to read more, it's been added to the website ! :)
Yep. It'll be interesting to see if any planning applications do still appear. Might give a better indicator on whether the project has been pushed back, perhaps..?
Just out of curiosity @JC13, why exactly do you rate Nemesis so low, and Rita so high? It doesn't make sense! :lol I don’t mind roughness at all, so Rita’s headbanging doesn’t bother me, and I love launches, so I love the launch, and I find Rita to have good airtime, which I love. I’d take airtime ...
So, I just though it'd be pretty fun to do a poll, now that Alton Towers has ten rollercoasters, and to see which rollercoaster is most popular with members of the forum, as well as see where everyone places them when ranking them from best to worst! :) So, this is how I'd rank them: 1. Nemesis 2. ...
I had read somewhere that Project 2020 had been pushed back a year. Although I can't even remember where I read this, so I can't point anyone in that direction if you want any evidence sadly. I think a B&M Hyper is a pretty realistic prospect, with there being a couple of areas in the park I thi...
It's actually really nice to see everything that we've been watching all last year compacted into one video. The difference from before construction and how it is now is really quite remarkable!
I mean, it would have made sense to fix anything that needed to be fixed, but this is Merlin at the end of the day... I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
But @DeadJack5, it has been strongly rumoured that Towers are planning at least some new addition for 2019...
To be honest, I actually don't really expect the TLC thing to continue, although I think that they will at least look after what they fixed with a bit more care hopefully.
:lol To be honest, that's not even a bad idea, heated roller coasters!! I like what streetmagix has suggested, with the rotating of different areas, depending on demand, as well as to get maintenance done, whilst maybe keeping say CBeebies Land, Mutiny Bay as well as Duel and Hex open most of the y...
That's a good point. I do have a bit of hope that things will be different next year!
Moving to all year operations sounds interesting. And you're right about the hotel rooms too. Surely they'll only make even more money if the theme park is actually open!
Yeah, misleading probably wasn't the right word to use. The ride opening times really are just so badly communicated to guests. They really should have put them on the map, because when you're walking around in the morning, and you're greeted by several blocked off pathways saying that the rides in ...
Yeah. I think Alton have been quite tactical when it come to Entertainments this year, especially putting Wicker Man's effects in that department. It may have meant that any extra budget the department got for Wicker Man has been distributed around to get in more on park entertainment, so it's defin...
I'd say 10am opening times are just a tiny bit misleading don't you think? Most people would expect all the rides to be open from the times listed above, not having them open randomly throughout the day... also slightly surprised at the lack of 6pm closures on weekends.
Thanks Morgan, you make some really nice suggestions in your post too! My suggestions are really just the base minimum I'd like them to do, so I definitely agree with some of your ideas! Very much agree with you about CCL. Reopening on the theatre, as well as all the current SBNO rides is a must, bu...
I really hope they do do something with that old bit of rockwork. Really doesn't look that good, and does detract from the fresh new look of Tiger Rock somewhat. Even if it's just a quick paint to match the newer colour scheme of the Tiger Rock, that might disguise it enough so that it isn't as easy...
Alton Towers flat ride fix to make all areas of the park fun for people of all ages. Forbidden Valley – one new family flat, one new thrill flat in place of Ripsaw. At the moment there is a serious lack of things that are suitable for younger children in this area of the park, and means a lot of bac...
The reason I say we need flats for all the family in the three areas I mentioned above, is because at the moment, if you're visiting with a group / family of completely different ages, it means that in an area like FV, there isn't a lot for the younger members of the group to do, aside from Blade. I...
