Re: Land of the Tiger - New for 2018

I really hope they do do something with that old bit of rockwork. Really doesn't look that good, and does detract from the fresh new look of Tiger Rock somewhat. Even if it's just a quick paint to match the newer colour scheme of the Tiger Rock, that might disguise it enough so that it isn't as easy...

Re: 2015-2019: Possible Developments?

Alton Towers flat ride fix to make all areas of the park fun for people of all ages. Forbidden Valley – one new family flat, one new thrill flat in place of Ripsaw. At the moment there is a serious lack of things that are suitable for younger children in this area of the park, and means a lot of bac...

Re: The Future Of Charlie And The Chocolate Factory; The Ride

The reason I say we need flats for all the family in the three areas I mentioned above, is because at the moment, if you're visiting with a group / family of completely different ages, it means that in an area like FV, there isn't a lot for the younger members of the group to do, aside from Blade. I...

Re: The Future Of Charlie And The Chocolate Factory; The Ride

I guess they could add some new flat rides to a rethemed CCL?? Although that would likely happen in the following years, like the expansions to CBeebies Land perhaps. I definitely agree though, at least one new flat ride per area for Dark Forest, Forbidden Valley and X-Sector would be great. Prefera...

Re: Alton Towers Resort - Quick Questions

It is a bit annoying, but at least it keeps the Fastrack queue to a minimum, so that the people who do pay for the privilege actually get it, unlike when the park hand out too many Fastracks for all the other rides, meaning that the whole point of having a Fastrack kinda becomes a bit pointless as y...

Re: Walt Disney World - Magic Kingdom

I know! They're definitely worth a follow to keep up to date with all the construction thats going on at Walt Disney World, as well as other Orlando attractions! :) The amount of construction happening at WDW at the moment is mind blowing! Really makes me want to visit for the 50th and see it all fi...

Re: The Future Of Charlie And The Chocolate Factory; The Ride

Yeah, I agree with that, Dan. It doesn't make an awful lot of sense to make only small changes to the ride, only to then give it an entire retheme.  Talking of the 2019 addition at Alton – I'm pretty sure that it has to be a retheme of CCL. When we think about it, there was TH13TEEN in 2010, with a ...

Over in Magic Kingdom's  Adventureland, construction on buildings which are speculated to be for the new Club 33 location is progressing well. Photos by  @bioreconstruct . https://farm1.staticflickr.com/823/41585782192_b7f994b6f5_c.jpg https://farm1.staticflickr.com/792/41585782322_8355c62ced_c.jpg

Re: Alton Towers Resort - General Discussion

An enjoyable day can still be had at Alton Towers, although it seems more and more apparent that you need a good knowledge of the park in order to maximise your day.  This. And even then, we were turning corners with plans for our next move to be met with signs saying entire areas didn't open until...

Re: Wicker Man Reviews & Discussion [SPOILERS]

In all honesty, I didn't really notice the lack of fire effects, although that could have been to do with the really heavy misty weather more than anything, so I don't really know what it is like on a normal day. Got some stunning pictures of the ride, even without the fire! :)

Re: PortAventura World

Yes, I agree with that. The theme doesn't really help. The bits that have been themed in Ferrari Land, have been done pretty well. I haven't seen an awful lot of Ferrari World so it's difficult for me to compare.  One other thing I think contributes to the bland feeling is the lack of trees and vege...

Re: The Future Of Charlie And The Chocolate Factory; The Ride

I don't really know how much truth is in this, but I have heard it mentioned on other forums that there may be work going on in the CATCF building to remove the theme since the IP deal ran out, so they can reopen the ride. As I say though, I wouldn't know wether that is really true or not. It could ...

Re: Galactica - General Discussion

I do kinda wish I'd given it a go in 2016, but now as the VR is just not as good, as well as the extra long queue for the VR rows, I'm just not bothered about it to be honest. I do love the new soundtrack and extra bits of theming that came with Galactica, although I'm glad they've reintroduced actu...

Re: Six Flags Fiesta Texas

Looks like quite a unique train design.. they just look a bit plasticky if you get what I mean.. not sure about it to be honest. Single file seating arrangement is interesting. They look comfy enough though. Especially as the coaster will hopefully be ultra smooth! :)

Re: Galactica - General Discussion

I've never tried the VR. It just doesn't appeal to me really. I'd rather see the actual surroundings than have some screen pushed in my face. I have a real soft spot for the original Air, and whilst the change to Galactica did bring improvements in some areas, the VR is certainly not one of them.
