Re: Alton Towers Resort - Quick Questions

I have booked Splash Landings hotel, 4th November for the fireworks and i am just wondering, does this mean i am guaranteed to get into the park. Bearing in mind, i have booked it on a bed and breakfast basis and i am planning on using my merlin pass for entry? Or will i need to get pre-book tickets?

Re: Project 2020

I'd be more than happy with something like Lech coaster or the new version of the launch coaster they have just released. Vekoma have really come on leaps and bounds recently. I think we might be seeing more of them in the near future.

Re: Blackpool Pleasure Beach

Ok, genuinely interested. I don't necessarily want to see it taken down but i want to know how people feel about The Big One. Scenario: Amanda Thompson lays out potential plans for the future. One of the points she mentions is getting the opinion of the public for the following: Should The Big One b...

Re: Derren Brown's Ghost Train

I agree with you there Nemesis fox, the queue was awful on Sunday. it was 2 and half hours long. We were lucky to have fastrack but we still waited for 45 mins to get in. It desperately needs improvements in that regard. They also managed to forgot to dispatch our pen (pen 2) twice, so pen 1 entered...

Re: Derren Brown's Ghost Train

Went on DBGT for the first time this weekend. Can't help thinking that the experience would have been better using more physical effects/actors rather than VR on the train parts. I don't think VR is immersive enough yet, maybe in a few years time. Great ending though.

Re: Saw - The Ride

Well, i sent a message not so long ago about being nervous of loud sudden noises. Managed to get to Fright Nights at the weekend and i've got to say, this is now probably my favourite ride at the Park. I was genuinely suprised at how smooth it was considering the reports of it being rough. Two times...

Re: Saw - The Ride

Tbh, it does make me feel better, knowing that there is a que before it fires. Just allows me to prepare. It's not so much the loud noise, but the not knowing when it's going to happen that puts me on edge ha. I think its called Phonophobia. But disregarding that, i am desperate to get on this ride,...

Re: Saw - The Ride

Ahhh thanks for that, i'd heard that there was a shotgun in the queue. I would be on edge the whole time, so at least i have an idea of where it is. I'm guessing the MCBR has a kind of loud hissing sound similar to Thirteen, when the track drops. I can sort of cope with that. I'm trying hypnotherapy...

Re: Saw - The Ride

A little bit of an embarrasing question here but, does Saw have a lot of loud noises inside? I've got this annoying fear of load sudden noises. I know they are designed to scare you but it really panics me. If i know what to expect, it tends to calm my nerves. Cheers.

Re: SW8 Speculation and Discussion

I think it was this forum that it was mentioned, the idea of Moloch. Bull like figure, human sacrifice, passing through the fire etc. Reading up about it, it sounds more like greek mythology. However, I stumbled across some interesting info regarding Bohemian Grove, which is a Men's club for the Eli...
