Re: The Alton Towers Dungeon - New for 2019?

It will do well in it's first season, perhaps its second as well. Merlin's obsession with adding high staff requirement attractions confuses me. I cannot see many guests wanting to pay extra on top of already expensive theme park admission for an experience that many will have already done in Londo...

Re: Th13teen - General Discussion

I'm really surprised.  I wasn't a big fan of Th13teen at first, but it is most definitely a ride which has gone up in my estimations and got better over time!. With the area's shrubbery growing up around it then I believe the area is improving year on year! Yes, they could add more, but does it rea...

Re: SW9

Would be a certain winner with park guests! Something along the line of journey to atlantis at universal or a drop along the lines of dudley do right ripsaw falls would be epic! If they themed it aswell as Wickerman it would be worthy of the title SW.. Would be the fist water based SW aswell so ano...

Re: Alton Towers Resort - General Discussion

With fireworks looming round the corner, what theme would people like to see this year? Personally, I think we will see the theme return to a ride based one and we will see a Wicker Man based display. Hopefully, as the last one that made me think "wow" was the Thirteen display.

Re: Dark Ride Ideas

Something along the lines of The Mummy ride at Universal would be great! Something along the lines of escape. The Mummy's strength is that you don't know which way to are going to go next whilst trying to escape from the Mummy. Forwards, backwards, spiralling down a drop.. Team it with some nice eff...

Re: What do you think should replace CCL?

I think the Storybook land is nice, but the only recently removed a very similar concept to put in CBeebies land. Removing the Storybook work, old Macdonald etc. A really interesting theme would be to go very steampunk for CCL, loads of smoke, steam and whistles, but obviously not another dark them...

Re: What do you think should replace CCL?

I would like to see AT invest heavily in this area because it has the potential to be great. After all, Towers is suppose to be a family attraction for all ages. I think CBeebies Land has halted its progress. AT just needs to forget about CATCF and come up with their own idea. I would rather have To...

Re: Th13teen - General Discussion

Would be great if they had put a full wall projection screen in front of the carriage with a wraith that turns to you and screams something along the lines of "GET OUT" before you are blasted with cold air and flung backwards out of the crypt. May sound abit cheesy :o) Such a great idea! ...

Re: Alton Towers Resort Future - General Discussion & Wishes

Echo the above. New flat rides are a must as the can complement an area if themed well like Ripsaw was in Forbidden Valley. Something along the lines of Vortex and Rush would be a great addition as these are really good thrill rides imo. They are fun to watch whilst waiting in the queue and build up...

Re: Th13teen - General Discussion

If Th13teen was made in 2018 ;) Could be a possible idea if they ever decide to refurb it in the future  :) Along the lines of the large screen in the Mummy at universal.. (if only Towers had their budget)  :| Like they have done with the TLC in Duel, adding the tech to the photo frames in the queu...

Re: Th13teen - General Discussion

Had a great moment at the weekend when my nephew finally plucked up courage to go on Thirteen and he loved it.. Brought back all the memories of when I was his age and the same feeling I had when I walked off the Corkscrew, buzzing and wanting to go straight back on (making out I wasn't bricking it ...

Re: SW9

A water coaster (with filtered water- please!) would definitely fill that gap though and be worthy of a Secret Weapon title if themed well enough. Would be a certain winner with park guests! Something along the line of journey to atlantis at universal or a drop along the lines of dudley do right ri...

Re: SW9

Having visited the park the other day for the first time in a while, it's quite clear the park is missing another water ride and a few dark rides. Hex is still brilliant and Duel is fun, but it feels like there is something missing in the line up. The first thing that comes to mind for me is Valhal...

Re: Wicker Man General Discussion

Afternoon ladies & gents.. It's been a while since I have posted anything but since I've only just managed to get round to riding Wicker Man (I have a two year old so most of my Towers time is spent in CBeebies Land nowadays) and it left me buzzing that I had to post on here like some kind of ex...

Re: Wicker Man General Discussion

I was worried that the effects might not live up to the hype but the lights in the wickerman teamed with the smoke makes it look like its burning as the carriages pass through.. Like people have noted, only half full.. That thing is going to fly round the track :o)

Re: Wicker Man General Discussion

Whilst the photos are nice, and the structure looks brilliant! Im really disappointed in the lack of effects on the images. It’s hardly ‘bursting into flames’ I can only see the two small flame effects on the shoulders and that’s it? Nothing at all in the chest area? Hoping this is literally a teas...

Re: Wicker Man General Discussion

The Mummy in Universal Studios Florida has a cool mid-course show scene, which has a fire effect on the ceiling. Something like that could work well. Although, what does confuse me, is that (from a storytelling point of view) you pass through the Wickerman a few times with fire effects on. Why woul...
