Re: Creative Ideas For new AT Attractions

Here is my idea for a scare maze at Scarefest: Alton Manor: We're All Dead Here Guests enter the queue line, filled with hanging lanterns and teddy bears tied up in a noose as if they are being hanged at the gallows. Visitors enter in groups of 10-15 and they wait in the living room floor. In a sudd...

Re: SW9

I have been thinking and something great for SW9 is a launched Flume ride. Only cause you see the hydraulic water slide launches recently and I think something like that but an LSM launch especially built for water coasters and their manufacturers like Intamin or Mack.

Re: Early Ride Time 2019 Predictions

That's a realistic line up. I would love to see CBeebies Land, Mutiny Bay, Wicker Man, Nemesis, Blade, Galactica, RMT and Duel. It goes along with Dan's idea of one side of the park but also gives guests a sneak preview of CCL, Dark Forest and X Sector from behind the barricade.

Maybe Hex too...

Re: Alton Towers Resort Future - General Discussion & Wishes

I was expecting a flat ride like a gyro swing or even a new version of the top spin. Why was Ripsaw removed? I know it's TLC but it's a great ride. No one hated it as far as I know and it isn't a ride that was the pain of maintenance costs

Re: The Next Themed Area/Area Refurb

Yeah, I think CCL will go in 2019. They'll stop access through Scarefest then the first teasers will come then and the full announcement in January 2020.

Re: Alton Towers Resort Future - General Discussion & Wishes

Would they take Nemesis Sub Terra ride system into the dungeons and those junior towers in CCL to fill the lineup and replace Frog Hopper. Like an upgrade
So this could mean that Frog Hopper will leave the park

Re: Blackpool Pleasure Beach

Also, Nick Thompson said at the press event today that the park will be adding "about" 3 significant new rides in the next 7 years. I'm sure it was mentioned somewhere that the plan was for Mack to deliver at least 2 more rides for Pleasure Beach (so 3 rides in total including ICON). I gu...

The Next Themed Area or Area Refurbishment

Just came to my attention, what does everyone think will be the next refurb of a current area or even a new area altogether?

Re: Alton Towers 40th Anniversary in 2020

I might be alone on this but I think Alton Towers has a large collection of recognisable characters to use. There’s the ministry of joy and all it’s ‘colourful’ characters, the phalanx and the nemesis creature, galactica and the astronauts, Thirteen and it’s wraiths, wicker man and the beoren and t...

Re: SW9

I wanna see Rita go but I do have an idea. Do you guys remember an old animation for SW7 for what the world's first element was, when the track was attached to like a rotating tunnel. Well, that could work with that Dark Forest vibe and theming. Especially if its a launch coaster cause Intamin and M...

Re: The Future of the Monorail

I would like to see newer style Monorail trains with see through clear windows but change the theming of the trains to the main coasters at the park.

Re: SW9

I am predicting a galaxy themed indoor water coaster (Galactic themed Valhalla) but including a worlds first or a world record element. Like Worlds Tallest Water Coaster or the only inversion on a water coaster. Maybe called Galaxi or Cosmos (sci fi themed)

Re: Alton Towers 40th Anniversary in 2020

They could bring back 3 classic rides for 2020; Ripsaw, Dynamo and Submission. Ripsaw in its old location, Submission in its old location and Dynamo (as part of phase 1 in a 2 phase Forbidden Valley expansion in the old car park behind Galactica) and then phase 2 in 2021 or 2022, SW9 in that area.

Re: The Alton Towers Dungeon - New for 2019

I'm a little curious about it but at the same time, I do wish it could've been in the Towers or a new building in Coaster Corner built from scratch. But I see it, in a way that the CCL Entrance will probs be moved closer to Toadstool and that allows an entrance near the skyride station and then repa...

Re: What do you think should replace CCL?

I agree. I think during Scarefest they'll start marketing the ride or area or whatever it is. If it was an IP I'd want the new Shaun the Sheep Dark Ride concept from Sally Corporation and then CCL could become Aardman Animation Courtyard cause that IP works. If original, I agree with a Diagon Alley ...

Do you have a sauce on that? Can't see anything on towers Instagram or Twitter.

Coastergram told me on Instagram on one of his posts that Alton Towers are announcing today.
