Re: Thorpe Park Resort - General Discussion

As first spotted by Thorpe Park Mania, It appears that Living Nightmare has re-opened (in it's non-extreme form), as a replacement for the delayed opening of Saw: Alive.

Queue time for it has just updated online to 5 minutes, so looks like it's confirmed to be open.

Re: FIA Formula One World Championship - General Discussion

Let’s not forget that Hamilton has also re-signed with Mercedes until the end of 2020 ;) But that happened at least a day ago, old news! :P I wonder how long they can leave the LeClerc/Kimi question. If they don't win this year's championship, I could see them keep Kimi inorder to retain the status...

Re: FIA Formula One World Championship - General Discussion

Bottas has signed a one year extension with Mercedes, with the team having an option for a second year.

Meanwhile Ricciardo goes fastest in FP1, but has had to change so many bits on his engine that he'll start last regardless of qualifying.

I'm assuming they haven't reopened bag drop for Th13teen during the peak period. It currently has a 150 minute queue, double what Wicker Man is currently stating at 75 minutes.

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - General Discussion

Thorpe have announced that there will be three ways of getting tickets for Zombie Hunt. 1. Collect a free timed ticket between 10am-12pm, while spaces remain. 2. Purchase a timed ticket for £1.50 online. 3. Purchase a fastrack timed ticket for £10 online. Given the tickets are timed in half hour in...

Re: Phobias & Fears

I have a phobia of vomit and love rides. I am really scared to go on rides incase another person is sick. I know this might sound stupid but can anyone help me? I really want to ride all of the big rides at alton when i go. No fear/phobia is stupid. :) Maybe a good start would be to convince yourse...

Re: ‘Stargazing Pods’ Accommodation Discussion

Shamelessly silly comment incoming:

Seeing as they put both trademarks in at the same time, maybe they're intending calling the Stargazing Pods toilet and shower block, the Alton Towers Dungeon? Seems like it has the necessary theming in the plans.

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - General Discussion

Despite being more then happy to poke fun at it, I'm going to stick up for this event. At the end of the day it's adding the summer vibe to the park in stark contrast to seemingly horror everything else, which there's been a fair few complaints about as well. It's also good to see Thorpe taking inte...

The Chessington emoji "characters" have made an appearance. I have to assume that they didn't spook the animals with their photo shoot.

Re: Colossus

Thorpe Park's Twitter account have been playing around with people over building an RMC again, and then specifically about the T-Rex model. I'm deliberately going to have a little selective memory here on Thorpe's previous teases on Twitter. But it got me thinking, when Colossus closed for the 4 day...

Re: Alton Towers Resort - General Discussion

This is just very weird. It definitely indicates the rapids will be on reduced capacity for the foreseeable future.  Having the sign adjustable surely must be to allow them to make changes over a longer term without needing to replace the sign fully. They can't be making ride system adjustments that...

...the Sub actors used to stand at the windows and stare at guests, just to freak them out. That's brilliant! Even when resting, they're still completely in the spirit of the event. In that case the statement could also be a nod to this happening in previous years and they'll encourage it a bit mor...

Re: Scarefest - General Discussion

Re-scaryfy does suggest something has changed. But that could be marketing speak for a new coat of paint through to new scenes. But seeing as they started earlier than people expected, could be they're trying some new things out rather than relying on previous plans. Don't know about the actors in t...

Re: Project 42 (Nemesis Sub-Terra) - New for Scarefest 2018

My bet is they're not in there anymore.

Seems incredibly unlikely they'd use something they knew to be unreliable in a timed, paid-for attraction. So it makes little sense to have them taking up space in a building they want to transfer to Scarefest.

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - General Discussion

Figured out why they had fenced off the hard standing car park. They completely filled it with coaches from school trips today!

This week would be a really bad time to visit. Unless you're a school kid who is getting a day away from the classroom I guess... :lol

Re: The Alton Towers Dungeon - New for 2019?

Hmm, I dunno if a scare attraction could work to be honest. Merlin have done attractions like SAW: Alive and Sub Terra before and they were massive flops mainly because there wasn't enough interest for a return visit for most of the public but maybe if they somehow have it so it is outside the CAPE...
