Re: Alton Towers Resort Merchandise

I agree there Justin. They look tacky, cheap, and not worth buying. I found a London Eye one at the London Eye shop, and it looks equally bad. Keep in mind this is all my opinion.

Re: ‘Stargazing Pods’ Accommodation Discussion

Maybe they named them Stargazing Pods
because 'Queuing for Everything Pods' doesn't roll off the tongue as easily.
Also Swarm Chris, those simulated view telescopes could be added, knowing Merlin. They love gimmicks as much as they love accommodation, sanctuaries and not adding flat rides.

Re: ‘Stargazing Pods’ Accommodation Discussion

I think that 99% of the committee must be gardening- mad sort of people, because to them there's nothing more magical than a shed!

Re: ‘Stargazing Pods’ Accommodation Discussion

But did they really need more accommodation tho?
I know it’s the budget end of the market these ‘pods’ are aimed for, but Splash Landings exists for that purpose.
What next, Donald Trump becoming president of the USA? Oh, wait..

Re: Wicker Man Reviews & Discussion [SPOILERS]

I rode Wicker Man for the first time on the 18th May. I queued for 45 minutes but it was well worth the wait. The queue line, as everybody else said, is very well themed, although it is a shame about the vandals. The pre show, I found a bit too loud and scary, but I have sensitive ears. However, it ...

Re: ‘Stargazing Pods’ Accommodation Discussion

I wouldn't be surprised if Towers abandoned this "Stargazing Pods" project and either put in more lodges or not put in any new accommodation at all.

It isn't like they need more accomo at the park.
Also 10th post for me yay

Re: Scariest moments at Alton Towers

My scariest experience at Alton Towers was in 2013.
I was petrified, and I mean PETRIFIED, by the Smiler’s theming.
I was mostly afraid of the logo, and that marmalised lady on the marketing. I was only 8.
Now I am a Smiler and MOJ fan.

Re: Enchanted Village Expansion 2018 - 2021

I agree. I personally prefer the original plans for more lodges, so if these 'pods' ever existed, I would lose all faith in humanity.

Re: Songs that remind you of rides

Matt Cardle-Loving You reminds me of my third visit in 2013 and being terrified of the Smiler.
Also Carly Rae Jepsen-When I Needed You reminds me of the Alton Towers Hotel, for some reason.
