Re: SW9

I can't see Rita going and being replaced any time soon and certainly not with the same sort of style of ride. A coaster construction replacing Rita would also most likely involve having to close Thirteen, that would be 2 coasters closed for the majority of at least one season. I wouldn't be surpris...

I do find it strange how they have included Duel in the line up. It is out on a limb!

Also means little or no major TLC will take place on the attraction during the closed season.

Re: Paultons Park

Wow this seems like it could be another large expansion for the park. If its a new area and is themed as good as the Lost Kingdom then i can see this being a huge success for the park. I wonder if this could be a retheme of the area where Cobra and the Edge is as this when i visited this year this w...

Re: TT Summer Festival 2018 - Reviews and Feedback

I'm still feeling 'delicate' from the weekend (I went back to Towers on the Sunday and I'm so regretting it right now) but it was such an amazing event! Thank you to everyone involved. The ERTs were amazing, especially the unexpected Wicker Man one. The talk was very open and frank. The ride takeov...

Looking to go to this, have any older teenagers attended in the past? (Im 16 and i feel like everyone will be a bit older than me) Usually at our events there is a real mix of ages so I'm sure you won't feel out of place. This event has a real sense of community about it so I'm sure that you will m...

Re: 2015-2019: Possible Developments?

Although I would very much welcome a re-theme / overhaul of an area it would be nice to see some brand new attractions, not just re-themed ones. An area suited to 6 - 10 years of age is massively needed and this would help fill the gap. The resort however does need some new flat rides / filler attra...

Re: Land of the Tiger - New for 2018

A nice re-fresh of an excisting attraction but feel some parts haven't been touched, even a jet wash of some of the attraction where algae has built up would have made a difference. The tunnel entrance could have been so much better and feel this lets the ride down for being one of the main aspects ...

Re: Galactica - General Discussion

Can't see VR making a return next year, if it survives the full season this year. I can see the name Galactica staying though as it won't be worth the effort or money to change it back to Air. We do need to see the return of duel stations though as this would help with reduced queue times dramatical...

Re: Wicker Man General Discussion

If this ride is as good as the visuals then it will be a great ride. This is exactly what Alton Towers needs, a new family ride with the thrill factor. As long as Alton Towers don't market it the way they did with Th13teen then they are on to a winner.

Re: Alton Towers Resort - Quick Questions

Theres a massive difference in a TV production wanting to film within the park and a regular park visitor. TV production companies will be equipped and have the necessary training and skills to film safely. The resort will also gain free publicity to a national audience though that TV program.

Nice to see a better kids selection which is to be expected. I hope that this is available across the rest of the hotel restaurants as the children menus is pretty dire at the moment.

Re: SW8 Construction Discussion

Photos really don't show the true scale of the site or the ride construction, the metal structure is huge.

The more i see how the ride is shaping up the more i am getting excited about the whole project and ride. Only slight concern is that we have seen very little promotion of the new coaster.

Leah & Joe have been discussing their compensation claims on a channel 5 show. Article here . Joe received £100,000 whereas Leah's claim should be resolved next year and be in the region of £2 million. The settlement figure Joe received has not been released. All that was stated was that the se...

To be honest I would rather the ride wasn't part of the TLC project and just got had a complete retheme or new ride installed.
