Re: Liseberg

Daemonen at Tivoli has something similar and that's for lights - maybe it could be for that too?

Re: Wicker Man General Discussion

I'm really glad GCI amended the lap bar design too, so the base of the 'T' is directly in the middle of your legs, rather than to the side which I found uncomfortable.

Re: Six Flags Dubai

Thanks for the update. All they needed was one outstanding ride to be a world-class theme park and they seem to have cut that.. Mack Hypers are obviously great - but makes no sense as it will be the same ride type as Velociraptor just down the road.. Think of the difference between Blue Fire and DC...

I wonder how Alton approached this issue then? They are very similar set ups.

Re: Colossus - General Discussion

Yeah - but then the restraints did not stick out as much, so was actually easier to get in to the back part of the car still.

Re: Colossus - General Discussion

Were the restraints different? I'm not sure I knew that? They were less bulky than they are now and much better in my view :) Basically, the previous restraints allowed you to stick your leg out the side. So someone did, and broke their ankle when coming in to the brake run, hitting it on the evacu...

Re: Land of the Tiger - 2018

Yes, you can see where the stairs come down on the left at the bottom, and the fence for the batching area. Here's what it looked like before: http://themeuk.net/CWTP/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/falls-9.jpg Credit: http://themeuk.net ..and before that was a huge hand painted mural of Asia - was beaut...

Who experienced Colossus with the original, less restrictive restraints?

Re: Blackpool Pleasure Beach

The first ride of this type I rode was actually Manta at SeaWorld in San Diego. No inversions and it was absolutely awesome.

Nothing to worry about here.

Re: Disneyland Resort Paris

That area of the park desperately needs some sparkle, so this should help.

At least the original R&RC will be kept in Orlando.. which is better themed anyway.

Re: SeaWorld Orlando

Both trains running yesterday had VR removed.

It’s not just the physical equipment either - the handles and brackets have also been taken off.

Still amazingly smooth for nearly 20 years old.

Re: Knott's Berry Farm

It’s similar to Takabisha’s by having a holding brake - but as the train is longer, the section needs to be too.
