Alton Towers have gone to an all new low with their fences...

Hopefully they are a temporary solution until some permanent fences that match the style of the original are installed.

At the minute they look positively amateurish.

I can't imagine even Alton Towers keeping something as gross as that as a permanent feature.
And what would happen when the creature appeared?

I'm going to be optimistic and say that they will replace them with proper permanent not-that-ugly fencing. But also why on earth can people not be trusted not to enter ride areas, I mean really.

I know Alton Towers like their fences, but really? It's never been a problem for the past 20+ years... they could have waited a tiny bit longer to install proper fences rather than these horrible metal barriers!

Towers Street have just posted this image on Nemesis's updated queue line fencing.

It looks much better and blends in with the original well.

It's wonky!

Other than that... Nothing major looks like it should be there!

Once it ages a bit it should end up closer to the original colour

The paint will soon dull down, especially over the summer months!

That is exactly what I was hoping for, it looks fine. Hopefully the paint will dull a bit, but the wonkyness dosent bother me.

any events coming up soon, Alton Towers or Thorpe Park, planning to take some time off work soon, but annoying its unlikely I can get anyone I really know to also take time off work, or their work wont allow it.

So anything coming up at either park?

I'm assuming you mean TTSP events and all the information you require can be found here - viewtopic.php?f=92&t=41328

Also that new fencing seems rather pointless. It doesn't seem to off added to much height and could still easily be scaled. Seems like a bit of a waste of money.

I meant events just generally, I dont know if you guys would consider me to be an active member of the group, certainly not enough to come to forum events, even if the Thorpe Park one, kinda fits the bill.

You would be more than welcome to attend any of our events, they are for anyone who wants to come so if the Summer Sizzler at Thorpe Park is something you are interested in please do come along :)

As for general events, as far as I'm aware there is nothing planned over the summer at Alton Towers. Their next big event will be Scarefest in October :)

Full details are yet to be confirmed, keep an eye on the TowersTimes and SouthParks Events website as we'll be announcing full details soon. You can also ask any event related questions in our TTSP Events and Meetups Discussion board
