It sure does look like Alton Towers are using very bight coloured paint all over the place, theme parks should be nice and bright. Has Sonic had a paint job as it looked very good in the pics?

Is it me or has the stairs been removed on the smilers second lift hill?

The second (vertical) lift hill never had stairs, if the car is on the vertical then can't get people out with stairs easily as you are lying on your back. The Smiler can run the vertical lift hill backwards I think to bring you back down.

Spinball does look very bright, but I think it was repainted when it was renamed to Sonic as it changed from the green-blue to the Sonic blue colour, that wasn't very long ago so it could be looking shiny still?

In my opinion it shouldn't of been Cbeebies Land but SEGA world or something to fit in with the sonic spinball theme! anyone agree?

NO NO NO NO NO!!! CBeebies land will be great for the little kids, as if it was something not for young tots, then they'll have nothing to do. :|

Cbeebies land gives a good excuse for SW8 to be a huge thrilling ride and not something family friendly

I agree as now they have a very good and wide selection of family rides which we all know will be very popular with the kids due to the CBBC IP attached, the park should be very busy.

Bring on the cross valley coaster!

It is a shame my AP runs out at the end of April, but there is nothing at any parks opening this year which makes me want to renew for a few years.

CBeebies Land is looking colourful and nice :) It looks like it'll be a great area for little kids and families when it opens!

Upon closer inspection, it appears there is large packaging but the staffy knot, this is very unlikely but it almost looks like one of the ride cars, having four rows. What's people's opinions??

I'm glad I'm not the only one to think Smilers tracks had a paint over.
Then again tho I thought it was the suns reflection.

Its very hard to make out what this actually is, my first thought was simply fencing repair? They have temporary fenced off the supports next to it but thats probably to stop the vans knocking them.

It's not been painted, the gold is just from the wheels.

Taken from the closed season pic of the day topic. If you look at various other Smiler pics on that thread, you can see quite a lot of gold/brown.

I agree Ben but looking at those pics the gold/brown has got a lot more noticeable over the closed season, I think they've grinder it down and maybe repaint it

MI7 Strikes again... First glimpses of CBeebies Land

Sat Feb 01, 2014 10:55 pm

Why would they store a ride car on a lorry like that though?!  Surely they would store them in the mech bay or station if they weren't being worked on?

They might have had to send one back for repair or something
