I've been told they will be relocated, but haven't got a clue where.

Re: Chessington 2014 Hotel Extension

Did anyone manage to see any more of the construction before the season ended of the new Monkey enclosures that were being moved for the hotel extension?

Chessington Buzz had some details http://www.chessingtonbuzz.co.uk/news/c ... xpansions/ and http://www.chessingtonbuzz.co.uk/news/c ... struction/ .

The last time I was there in early October it looked like a new Monkey enclosure was being built at the top of the old area next to the build-a-bear shop and the penguins. Didn't look like it was being made to any higher standard of theming than the old enclosures at the moment.

Chessington 2014 Hotel Extension

by Lottie. » Thu Nov 07, 2013 2:11 pm

I went on Sunday for the final day of HHP and from what I could see, the Monkey and Bird Garden was almost complete. As for the hotel expansion, still very much a huge patch of building site with diggers.

Chessington AZTECA Hotel new 2014

by BenBowser » Wed Dec 11, 2013 8:39 pm

Chessington have posted on their website a small page about their resort accommodation expansion in the form of the AZTECA hotel! This new hotel will include 69 new rooms, a stage, new restaurant and other smaller additions. I am assuming that the hotel will have an Aztec theme like the Azteca section in the Sea Life Centre. Post your thoughts below.

The hotel has eaten a lot of the zoo, the service road is still intact it will be interesting to see if the hotels do actually link as the Holiday Inn contract was supposed to be up at the end of the year.

Reading about the plans for the extension/Azteca Hotel. It looks as though the new Azteca Hotel is to be a separate building the other side of the access road but will have a bridge connecting the two hotels. It would also appear that there will be some works done to the Chessington Resort Hotel as well, and extension to the pool and Zafari Bar and Grill looks likely.

It surprises me that this is happening right after zufari. You can bet it will be a few years before we get another big investment

Chessington just announced on facebook they are celebrating the launch of Azteca Hotel and people should keep an eye on www.twitter.com/CWOA for exciting sneak peaks and photos. Some have already been retweeted by them of one of the rooms and it looks amazing

The themed rooms look amazing, the normal rooms look very plain and basic.

The basic rooms do have theming, just a limited amount. The carpet is themed to look like stone with vines, and the desk is 'wooden'. But hey, it is meant to be the budget room out of the set!

I must say though, the other two room designs look fantastic though!

I do love the themed rooms. Might have to stay there and explore all of the hotel. :)
