I really take my hat off to them for having the courage to go into chessington. There's cameras everywhere!
With American Adventure, it was obviously quite easy for them as there is only 1 security guard looking after the whole 360 acres and at Atlantis waterpark there is no security at all, so I'm not suprised they managed to get around there unchallenged. Chessington on the other hand!

People visit quite often when its closed from that site. Many times they get chased away by security

I know, but they didn't this time. Thats what I find so suprising. Tussauds parks are well known for having alot of security.

Ooh, it's a bit naughty isn't it, but those pictures are fantastic - closed season pictures in the dark, what fun!

Might give this place a miss for a while it seems to be more popular at night than it does when its open...........

Lol!

You can't get arrested for doing it. I'm sure thats probably the reason why they carry on doing it. They can only be asked to leave by security

Yeah. Once your onsite it isn't illigal. It's only a civil crime. So basicly the guards can only escort you off site.

But in my past experience in this kind of thing (obviously not to that level) if you get caught, just be honest. As long as they know your not there to vanderlise or comit a crime, they should be ok.

The ghettoness of some people is unbelivable! I wonder how many times security have to remove upsessed coaster entusiansts craving a coaster so they thought they wud b cool to ther feloow forum members by getting pictures of non operating coasters

Personally I think they are great pictures and the people doing it are not coaster enthusiasts (on the whole) Urbex tresspass in alot of sites where they shouldn't - not just theme parks.

Chessington - General Discussion

by TenZero » Sat Mar 24, 2007 9:45 pm

Rides closed until further notice: Dragons Falls, Rameses Revenge, Seastorm and Bash Street Bus.

Not too good for first day is it?

yep one of the monkeys got stolen at the beginning of the closed season, the park found it again and returned it to its caged home. They then set about increasing the security and there the story rests.

Spongbob the monkey got relocated to another zoo, after the monkeys didn't want him back after he got stolen. Its so sad. :(

Well I was on park today at Chessie.

Dragons Falls doesn't look like it'll be opening any time soon with major scaffolding and work going on.

Rameses Revenge also looks like it wont be open soon also with major scaffolding, a tin roof over the gondola and sheeting around the gondola.

Seastorm could be open within a week or so.

Yep, Fury has a weight restriction. 2 adults & 2 children or 3 children per car, they are quite leniant though if you want to have say 3 adults.

Not with us, they didn't want to let 3 of us on so somebody had to go on their own all the time. I hope Maurer Sohne will be paying for a re-design of these cars to get them fit for purpose again.

I also noticed the extreme slowness of the Vampire dispatch today. Running 2 trains with the 2nd not leaving untill the 1st train is back into the final break run

Which didn't matter because the queue was normally always less than 5 minutes.
