The exterior is pretty good so far, whilst it's not going to win any awards for best facade it's better then what was previously there, and in my eyes that's always a positive!
The shop, however, is a different story. Again whilst it's somewhat batter than it's predecessor in terms of theming it just lacks something. The use of vinyl wraps and clean cut wooden desks makes the shop feel as though it's some kind of modern cabin rather than the shop of a Gruffalo ride, however I appreciate the tree trunks dotted around the shop!
The merchandise on offer was quite sweet and of high quality, however this is an IP so prices were bumped up. Such as with the Gruffalo plush (pictured above) costing £16. I did buy the ride pin badge though...
As a whole I have fairly high hopes for this, we know Chessington do rethemes well and so I have no reason to panic - especially when what was previously there wasn't the most incredible thing in the world by the time it had come to the end of its life!
