I hope that this doesn't mean that Tidal Wave's water is now going to sting your [censored by Original Source] to high heaven like their mint, lemon and lime shower gels.

Ouch!

To be fair, it's only the mint that burns you :P

The lemon one almost makes me want to eat it if i didn't want to choke into a bubbly death.

Well, I've got some pictures of the slight "re-theme" as Cjw said it isn't major. basically advertising slogans around the area!

http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i167/ ... orpe47.jpg
The entrance with barrels with the sponsorship on and sign under Tidal Wave!

http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i167/ ... orpe48.jpg
Bridge House painted green and again got the slogan 'Packed with Natural Stuff'

http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i167/ ... titled.jpg
Near the entrance, an advertisement showing all their shampoos.

http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i167/ ... orpe50.jpg
Near the exit, sign changing the meaning of Tidal Wave!

I think it's weird because it doesn't fit in at all! :?

It looks a bit out of place, but it could be worse. They should have done some amity style adverts like on Stealth.

Anyway, it's not a retheme, its just the original theme with a few adverts.

I agree, i don't mind the adverts, but could'nt they have done them so the logo and adverts didn't look so prim and propper and insed give them a battered and weathered look to go with the amity covestyle!

It's not that bad I thought. The ride is exactly the same apart from a few stickers that some chavs can spit on or put chewing gum over.

Overall I think that they could have made it much wprst and I'm glad that they kept it pretty much the same.

By the way this is the 3rd cussons sponsored ride in the U.K

yeh i agree the rides new sponsorship isnt that bad at all really, the green on the bridge looks a lot worse in pictures than it is in real life. The only thing that annoys me is the colours that the boats have been painted.

Tidal Wave hasn't opened since start of season, i'd guess she will be back up in about 2 weeks.

New chain to fit & fill it up with that wet stuff, can't remember what it's called :?

Tidal Wave

Fri Mar 31, 2006 10:24 pm

According to the website Tidal Wave has reopened, only in the afternoon though. So that cant be the reason for stealth to be closed. Just to let you all know! Maybe the first day this season it is open tomorrow!

Thorpe Park have posted on their Snapchat revealing that Tidal Wave's water tower flood effect has been restored and is working once again! Good news, it seems Merlin are pouring money into taking care of their rides this year with the Tomb Blaster upgrades/fixes and TLC at Towers as well!

I've never seen the water tower operational so I'm looking forward to seeing it in May :)
