I don't tar everyone with the same brush, just the majority of Thorpe's customers I see when I go are trouble making chav's.

ERT, in all honesty I think Thorpe will wait until the actual Thorpe Park Hotel is built in a few years time for that, makes more sense. I know the park has a large amount of rides, but they are all crammed into a small area, and on a quiet day you can easily fit it all in. Compare that to the size of Alton Towers (must be at least three times the size of Thorpe) and I can see why some people would need a few days to explore every part of Alton, including the gardens and towers.

Chessie never introduced it when the hotel opened, I doubt Thorpe will do the same.

So is the dumped old recycled shipping containers where they will cramp and squeeze lots of chavs which will be over-priced will be next to spare bit of land next to dome?

At the end of the day, Thorpe themselves are obviously keen on pushing the real hotel, but Merlin/Blackstone are scared to invest for whatever reason.

It was either them pushing forward with this to prove themselves, or them never getting the hotel. So I suppose we should just grit our teeth and deal with it. In 2-3 years time we'll have the nice fancy hotel we'd hoped for and Thorpe will continue to evolve as a resort.

I think squeezing chavs into a container is a novel idea and should be taken up by Staines Council permanently. 

I don't see this being a too bad idea.  No one's forcing you to stay there; as long as the beds are comfortable, the temperature control works and it gives easy access to the park (I am sure they'll do ERT (maybe evening ert?)) it'll be good for the park.

It's certainly a novel idea that we haven't seen outside airports, and it'll be a USP for the experience.

They just REALLY need to get going on bombing and rebuilding the entire entrance/dome/bridge area.

I recently found out that you can book tickets to stay at the Crash Pad in Thorpe Park.
They are really cheap considering they are 300 quid, but that includes the accommodation of course, park tickets and breakfast! It's way cheaper than AT.

Cheaper, I don't think so, way too expensive and over priced for what you are getting. There have been a lot of discussions over at Thorpe Park Mania about it, I think Merlin are having an inflated price so when they do an offer you end up paying a more realistic price.

£300? That's ridiculous. Being so close to Heathrow, there are hundreds of hotels that charge £100 or less per room around Thorpe Park, some for even as little as £30-40. Even when you factor in admission, travel and breakfast, the Crash Pads are way overpriced!

I did a booking this morning for the 1st May. The price for 2 was £170, 2 days park tickets and breakfast! I feel this is a very good price to be honest!

It's cheaper than buying 4 single tickets (2 days on park for 2 people) I know they have bounce back but still think its reasonable!

Yea i just looked too if you hold a MAP its down to £135 for upto 4 people or £95 for one person bnb

I'd rather just stay at any of the hotels on Bath Road, Heathrow, Premier Inn usually.
