Hi,

I have gone to scarefest at AT for the last few years, and we are not considering going to Fright Nights for a change - but having failed to find scare maze ticket prices, I wondered whether they included in park admission?

If they are, is fast track needed? - typically how long are wait times?

And finally - how does Fright Nights compare to Scarefest? Will I be disappointed?

Yes, mazes are included in the ticket price! Although of course this is great, it also means the queues for the mazes are very long, usually around 2 hours. If you want to do everything, Fast Track is often needed, and these are normally £5 each!

Unfortunately I can't comment on how Fright Nights compares to Scarefest as I've never been to Scarefest before! Could someone else help out here? :D :D :D

Yes maze entry is included within admission bar Containment, their room escape experience which is £10. That being said, the queues are horrendous, far worse than I have ever seen at Scarefest and you will need to get Fast-tracks if you aren't prepared to wait around 2hrs for each maze. Honestly I would say you may be disappointed. Fright Nights doesn't compare to Scarefest at all. Their best mazes don't even come close to the level of Altons weakest. If you can only visit one, I would genuinely go far Alton. If you're looking to spice things up, i'd visit one of the many independent events around the UK. Twisted Attractions, Screamfest Burton, Fear Avon Valley, Screamland and Scare Kingdom being some of the best

The events are very different and so it really comes down to your personal preference.

Scarefest is more family friendly, with a more fun Halloween vibe. Although it's been considered second to Fright Nights for awhile, last year it excelled due to lack of actors and last minute changes at Fright Nights, with Scarefest not having these issues and having a major overhaul. There are less mazes here meaning slightly less variety.

Fright Nights on the other hand is very much an adult event. The mazes here are all quite scary with a mixture of creepy, intense and strange. Although none are too bad, it really depends on what scares you. If you prefer creepier 'more realistic' experiences then BLAIR WITCH or PLATFORM 15 may be more to your taste. The resort are promising a better event this year, as last year it was pretty disappointing! (CONTAINMENT you must buy a separate ticket for). It should also be noted that 2/5 mazes are getting a major overhaul this year and PLATFORM 15 is an all new experience.

Hope this helps. :)

It is a shame that all the characters can't return at once!

I think spreading them out like this is quite a good idea, as it means they can focus on each character seperately but agree with Justin. For those only visiting for one/two days, it does kind of suck that you won't get to see all the characters.

Not going to lie, kind of disappointed there's not a "choo choo" in that post! :lol

I am looking forward to PLATFORM 15, however I'm slightly concerned with how fast it's being built. With just over a week to go surely construction should be finished by now?

I'm not keen on the Experiment 10 characters. I still believe that they should of had a mixture.
