The original Nemmy is possibly more "head-bangy" than Inferno. However, both cause you to not be able to walk in a straight line.

How was the weather when you went? It changes under different weather conditions.

Warm sunny day. Although it was wet, miserable and grey at the start.

Rides often become more head banging in the warmth as all of the components start expanding so parts which are slightly off become much larger.

The smoke is working, or, it was working in April this year when I went.

Hi,

I'm going to Thorpe Park tomorrow, and being the wuss I am, it's my first time riding Inferno, and I have questions ...

1) What will the queue for Nemesis Inferno be? I've seen it at 90 before, but I've also seen it as walk-on.
2) Where shall I sit? I know that on certain rides it makes a big difference where you sit (for example Vampire at Chessington where you HAVE to sit at the at the back.)
3) What time of the day should I do it? I'm with a group who won't want to do Inferno first, but I want it done by 3, so that there's plenty of time for re-rides ;))

I would recommend doing NI as early in the morning as possible. It can get very busy, and the queue usually just grows until very late afternoon.

If you don't want to do it in the morning, I'd suggest joining the queue at just before 6 so it doesn't matter how long you wait :)

I thought re-naming a ride is bad luck. Just like a boat. She was born with the name, why change it.

Is Nemmy Inferno being renamed? :?

Does anyone know any other name for Nemesis Inferno than Nemmy Inferno?

No. Well.. Atleast I don't think so.. There is just talk about people wanting to re-name it to 'Inferno' because it's 'a disgrace' to the original Nemmy.

I don't have a problem, I just write it as Inferno for short, because it would seem wrong to use "Nemesis" for short :P

By the way, it's really good :P

:-s Nemmy Inferno is a disgrace to Nemesis?

Just because it has a similar name and has similar track elements does not mean it is bad! I like Nemmy Inferno, even though I prefer AT's Nemmy.

Plus, my family can ride Nemmy Inferno and not get a headache unlike on the normal Nemesis.

I never said it's a disgrace. I said it would be wrong to use Nemesis when describing Nemesis Inferno, and my reasoning behind this statement is that we're an Alton Towers forum, and the word "Nemesis" is immediately associated with the ride at Alton Towers, whereas "Inferno" is unique, cannot be confused, and we all know what you're saying anyway.

I'm not saying that Nemesis Inferno should be permanently renamed to Inferno, but Inferno is a more convenient abbreviation than Nemesis, which would be confusing if used regularly.

Not saying you don't, I was just giving my message to all the Nemmy Inferno haters. ;)

It's not a FAVOURITE but it's in the 'I don't mind' section. If I was given the option Inferno or SAW I would go saw. If I had kid ride or Inferno, obviously inferno.

Nemmy Inferno is around my third favourite ride at Thorpe. Overall, though, I'd say it is 6th or 7th (out of the rides I've done!)

Nemesis Inferno is my 2nd favourite at Thorpe Park (granted I haven't done them all).
