What do you think should replace ripsaw and submission? I think submission should be replaced with a dragon claw flat ride and i think ripsaw should be replaced with a small version of tower of terror :D

With Submission, I think a replacement will come next year, and Ripsaw as well, if not, 2019. No way would Ripsaw get replaced with a mini Tower of Terror when in the same area you have Sub Terra, and across park Thirteen, Frog Hopper and Oblivion, what I would like is a smaller version of Pulsar somewhere on park though, and I would like a Sky Fly, possibly around Forbidden Valley or Katanga Canyon. I feel like a Polyp would fit well in X sector.

Baring in mind we've had no plans for a 2017 ride, what could be coming in 2017?

Next year we need at least 1 flat ride. If neither Ripsaw or Submission are replaced then I lose all faith in AT management!!
They need to realise flat rides' importance:
-They give thrill seekers something to do as well as coasters
-They even out queue times in an area
-If themed well they can make an area look more full and enjoyable

I hope you're listening Alton Towers!!
And what would happen when the creature appeared?

I'd rather have a flat ride in Dark Forest than in X-Sector or Forbidden Valley to be honest, BUT as long as we get one I won't complain where it goes!

Oh yes, you could easily theme a flat into DF. "The Curse", "Creeper". That's one area that I think really needs some more life pumped into it.

I think if Alton towers wants a new flat they should put it in the dark forest. Forbidden valley just got the Galactica retheme and x sector got the smiler. Dark forest has not had an investment since th13teen.

Dark Forrest is a little boring with no flat rides or at least something to go on while the rides aren't working.

And let's face it, that happens a lot ;)

I've been looking at a few flat types online and I reckon some sort of polyp ride could be made to fit in with DF, or anywhere else really! It's quite different from the park's current flats too so to provide a bit of variation.

Dark Forest is crying out for a Flat more than anywhere in park. It was strange yesterday with both Rita and Thirteen down, the area was just some music and an arcade. A shadow it's former days as the flat rich Festival Park.

Even moving Twirling Toadstool with its outrageously overkill height restrictions back in there and heavily retheming it to a giant evil tree or something would breath some much needed life into DF with minimal cost.

I believe next season, we shall see the removal of Spinball whizzer and see it replaced by a family CBeebies coaster/flat ride. The next stage of TLC with the focus on mutiny bay/towers street and KC ready for the new coaster coming 2018. The possibility of a flat ride somewhere in park also maybe.

What kind of investment year is it next year in the cycle?

If its 2013-2016 (High, Medium, Low, Low) then is 2017 the high investment year? The 2018 season having the wooden coaster installed which are cheaper anyway will make it the medium investment year surely?!

While we have no evidence yet I believe that with all the "TLC" happening around the park currently that'll be part of the budget with perhaps a totally new experience happening in the building of Charlie, updates to Hex / N:ST, the hotel extension with perhaps a flat or two. That together may accumulate to form the high investment across the park rather than a singular attraction.

I'm hoping for a thrilling flat to be included next year because its so desperately needed.

You're probably right with the removal of Spinball to make way for something in cBeebies.

The sensible thing right now is to keep Spinball until they have more flats or until Charlie is replaced and SW8 is opened.

I think removing Spinball would be a big mistake, it appeals to thrill seekers and families alike, I'm not sure what sort of replacement would ever manage that.

I really like Th13teen but we already have that, less is less, as for sw8 I've never been a big fan of wooden Rollercoasters, all the ones I've ridden have been horrible, hopefully sw8 will be different.

:yikes:

I think that SW8 will serve as a replacement for the family thrill market, so Spinball can go sooner or later.

Goodbye Spinball, hello CBeebies extension.

And then I shall cry. For a very, very, very long time.

I'll add my voice to those saying they'd be very sad to see Spinball go. It's a great little ride and a lot of fun.

SW8 could be the best ride in the world but I would still miss Spinball enormously
