Here's some guesses and my own opinions on the ride. During the mysterious inside section, the train will stop ( notice the buffer on several images of the track in the car park from a couple of weeks ago ). You will then witness some special effects,( Like Hex?). Whilst this happens, the track begins to tilt down very slowly, the room tilting with it, but you dont really feel it. Then you drop backwards and down into the helix. Now that construction has really got going, you can see where the ride enters the special section and exits. You can clearly see that is going to be quite a drop. Not to big, but not to small either. But keep in mind, this is a family coaster. So it's not going to be scary, its just going to be a coaster of fun with some great effects and what I hope to be great themed Just hope they do a great job with re themeing Rita to go along with it.

| I think that the track will be laid by scarefest. Leaving plenty of time to get the themeing to an amazing standard over the closed season, and UGland looking amazing under it's new theme.
I hope they change the layout of UGLand tbh. The shops need moving back a little bit, and there is space to move them back a bit, but I doubt that will happen and we will just get new facades.

Everyone seems shocked at 'the speed it's going up', but if you really think about it, the stuff that will take the most time is the electronics, the station, the fine details of the building, other theming, the queue line/landscaping, the world's first element and testing. Oh, and not forgetting the likely Rita retheme (people say 'give it a lick of paint' like it's the easiest thing in the world, but I don't envy anyone the job of painting a roller coaster). A pre-fabricated track (like from Ikea or something) was never going to take long, and the more time they allow themselves for the detail, the better I'll feel about the project. The track is looking fantastic though by the way

ILikeYourFace wrote: 'Air' was probably classified as a family coaster and is one of my favorites! Actually this seems like the opposite to Air. Air looks big and just as scary as nemesis for a first time rider but actually is incredibly relaxing. This is classed as a family coaster but seems to have no intension in becoming one. As for the carts being shorter because of the track I don’t think there are enough block brakes in the first track section (hopefully) so the carts will be more than 1 a train. If so the carts must be a new twister design.

There's no reason to assume that "it's not going to be scary"...

| Absolutely, we can't really assume anything at the moment as none of us know what it's going to be like. That being said, looking at the marketing we have all seen I am willing to assume that it may be scary.

That was more the general fear factor. I think this ride is going to be physologically scary

Absolutely. To my knowledge, this is probably 3rd behind Oblivion and Nemesis in the "scary/eerie marketing" stakes. I vouch for a family/thrill hybrid coaster.

Wish everyone would stop saying this is a family coaster! below is a link to intamin's classic family coaster page. the same track as SW6. This is why the labels said family coaster. SW6 is a WORLDS FIRST. It just happens that intamins family coaster track was the best suited to this project. http://www.intaminworldwide.com/iag/ind ... &Itemid=32

| I cant see the photos since bandwidth has been exceeded however, taking this from memory.
There are no wheels in the station to move the trains forwards. Those metal strips that run along the track...I wonder if there something to do with electromagnetism to move the train?

| It isn't going to be a tame one, but the height restriction will be 1.2m, it has almost no bearing on intensity but does ring out that there will be no inversions. I suppose all in all were getting a similar concept to the proposed wooden roller-coaster that was due to go out the back of mcdonalds, corkscrew. And im not talking about true "SW6" that was meant to span the valley.

They probably havent installed them yet and no those strips are nearly 100% certainly for cables to run along. Every coaster has them.

As has been stated previously, the metal strips on the track are probably for sensors. It looks like sections of a modular channel system (probably unistrut) that's been welded to the track. It's used on almost every other ride to secure sensors and other equipment around the track, and extensively in most newer buildings. Think of it as electrician's meccano.
