Idea that I had would be if SW6 is going to have a dark gothic theme similar to hex, how about painting RITA black? (still with flames)

I also dont see how a Race car would tie in with a Gothic feel aha.

Rita, black with flames would look amazing. Rita would be a kind of evil spirit, mischievous. I'm not sure encorporating a back story to Rita would be easy though. The station's not exactly substantial so you couldn't have a Nemesis style presented back story. Hmmm... Rita might see some more improvements than we think.

I was thinking about Rita recently and its future.

I like the idea of the black. Maybe the race track could be incorparated, after the unearthing of another section of the towers an uncontollable force raged through Thunder Rock. The track was abandoned and along with it several cars it homed.

There could be a grave stone next to the station
RIP
RITA

A bit of a Christine backstory or something. Maybe Black cars with a slim red line running down the side? Could play some of the current music in the background very quitely with interupting radio announcements about mysterious events at the Thunder rock race track. Obviously songs (as much as I love them) like teenage dirt bag would not be suitable, however bat out of hell played quitely with a bit of a radio crackle sfx would be awesome.

Also they have completed the final helix and the switch track area. The switch track is similar to Rita's switch for the garage area, a sliding piece with two separate pieces of track that meet up with the two differing directions. Couldn't get a pic as you can only see it when riding Rita

I've got an idea what might happen here.

The ride is sort of a tilt coaster like shown here

Image

However there are 3 round footers. If you have the track strapped to some form of a floor you can create an effect like the floor is collapsing.

The middle footer for the height, going up and down
The side footers to shake the track left and right.

The only issue I can see with this is it not being too realistic. The coaster would have to be held in place until the track is secured. If your crashing through the floor, your going to start rolling backwards straight away.

The only other thing I can think of is the that train gets attached to a piece of track. This piece of track is actually on a roboarm which throws the train about on the track and then places back in the correct position.

I have a feeling we will be seeing some visual/physics trickery on this ride like you experience on Hex.

Im also 100% sure there will be a tunnel if anyone took notice of my post a few pages back.

The problem with that idea evostance is that its not a worlds first, Also the at the moment the track leaving the station towards the helix begins with a flat piece, not curved to meet a tilt track, and the height difference between the entrance and exit would mean a tilt of around 30 degree which would be lame to say the least.

I;m still thinking a drop track but we will see in march, it looks to me that they are aiming to have the coaster ready by season end then work will start on the mystery section.

I didn't make that render. I was mainly focusing on the drop, the rest of the track is way out.

However, what other coaster does this? I can't imagine a vertical lift/drop hasn't been done...

Yeah, it looks as though they are going to build around it before they work on the mystery track section so we can't see what going on in there! It will be a great surprise :D

A horizontal drop hasn't been done on a coaster before (horizontal lifts have) but Vekoma has a tilting coaster that tilts to the vertical position before dropping the train so you plummet vertically.
