Following feedback in TT News and Your Views and after team discussion, a dedicated forum for themepark/coaster creation software has now been setup. The aim is to have any discussion relating to such software located in one place. This includes topics showcasing your own creations, or questions about using the software.
Before you post, we do ask that you read this post as there is some very important information and guidelines included within it. The below is in addition to TowersTimes Forum Guidelines :
1) Do you really need to post a topic?
We're more than happy for members to post separate topics to showcase their new creations. However, we ask that you do so in moderation (lets not have 30 posts by one member!). Ideally, each topic will be about looking at the development of a detailed creation over time after feedback from other members of the forum. Don't forget other people want to showcase and get feedback on their work too, and having multiple topics by one member will prevent that from happening.
We're happy for competitions to go ahead within the forum, however only after authorisation from a team member. Although this may seem harsh, the aim of this is so that we don't have multiple competitions running at the same time, meaning participation doesn't become watered down. All compeition topics from X-Cite have been locked as there was no activity recently, with the exception of nemesiscrazy's. This topic has now been stickied as the first competition on the new forum.
However, if you are looking to host a competition, please PM myself or another team member and we'll help you organise it.
3) Be Constructive
Feedback and criticism on other people's creations is encouraged, however please ensure it is sensible and constrictive. Likewise, don't take it to heart if someone is critical of your own work. To put it simply, treat others as you would wish to be treated.
4) Don't forget the report button!
If you see a post you feel isn't suitable, or a discussion is getting too heated, hit the Report button underneath the post which looks a little like this:
This will flag the post and a member of the team will be able to review and if necessary take action. This is by far the easiest way of dealing with such issues, and we request that members do not try and get involved themselves.
If you have any other questions or feedback, feel free to PM a team member directly or use the RCT sub forum topic in TT News and your Views.
And finally, enjoy!
