The Last Film You Watched and Your Rating

Wed Jul 02, 2008 11:21 pm

So basically what was the last film you watched (cinema, DVD, TV) and your rating?

Forgetting Sarah Marshall - 8/10.

I had no idea what to expect from this movie. I thought it was gonna be some rubbish chick flick but it turned out to be absolutely hilarious! Loads of great laugh out loud moments and Mila Cunis is stunning!!

Vacancy

8/10 - For a horror movie, I wasn't expecting a lot, however, I was petrified from start till finish. Well worth the 3 for £20 deal in HMV :) :P

Mr Deeds. 6/10

It's a bit of a meh film to be honest. Some bit can be rather funny, but some bit can also be either too soppy or crap.

The Happening

5/10

For a film called The Happening not a lot happened...

Pan's Labyrinth: 8/10

It's not of a genre I usually enjoy at all, but I did enjoy this. Easy to follow, with two stories to follow that intertwined - one of a fantasy nature and one a bit more closer to earth. Never really watched a subtitled film before, but it wasn't a problem at all. :)

One Hour Photo: 10/10

Such a brilliant movie, subtly chilling. I'd highly recommend it if you haven't seen it.

Oh hang on, my last post wasn't quite true

Last film I actually watched was Fight Club

10/10. It sat their watching it like it was the first film I had ever watched. The narrative, the music, the acting, the editing and directorial techniques and cinematography are just so different from any other film I have seen. It was like it was just put together completely differently. And I was NOT expecting the twist at the end :P

The Chronicals of Narnia - Prince Caspian

Very very good actually, better than the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, although they threw in some random things which wasnt in the book.

9/10

Last dvd i watched: Beavis and Butthead do America. 10/10. Hilariously funny. Cult classic.

Last cinema film i watched: Superhero movie. 7/10. Funny in parts i literally LOL'd. Too short though and too like all the other spoof comedys.
We can categorically state that we have not released man-eating badgers into the area.

The last film i techincally watched was The day after tomorrow in physics, but i just sat texting for most of it so i cant really rate that.
The film i last watched i cant remember (so it must not have been that good!) But the most recent i can remember is Forgetting Sarah Marshall. 6/10 - It was funny in parts, but most of the decent parts were shown in the trailers and advertisements. And i probably wouldnt have been that interested if Russel Brand wasnt in it!

Hitch

7.5/10

Light hearted rom-com, great for a lazy afternoon. Will Smith is funny as always with all his typical charm. :)

Wall-E

8/10

Watched it last night - quite a cute fun little film. Takes a weeee bit of getting used to in that there's no "talking" (just lots of little computerised noises that kinda sound like words... I love Wall-E's "Uh oh!" :D) from the main characters in it, but it is so cute and humorous in places.

No Country for Old Men

I liked this film although my friends didn't. I thought the acting was very good and the story had some interesting twists.

The ending however was a bit random...

SPOILER***

As well as the protagonist dying with little to no explanation

UNSPOILER***

But overall I enjoyed the film and shall give it a high and mighty;
