Narcos

Quite possibly the best crime drama TV show I've seen imo (not seen The Wire / The Sopranos). Loved Breaking Bad & Fargo as well but this has risen to #1 for me.

I would also say this is the True Detective series two we should of got.

Highly recommend watching this show!

Blunt Talk

This passed me by last year same as Narcos above. Searched best TV shows of 2015 and this came up so gave it a go.

I actually really enjoyed it. Its unlike anything I've ever seen Patrick Stewart do which isn't a lot really, seen him in Star Trek / X-Men. Its classed as a comedy and has a few laughs throughout the series but doesn't always go for the belly laughs so in that regard I appreciated it more. So many comedies nowadays are all about cheap gags, crude jokes etc.

It even has some great supporting actors in small roles in Moby, Richard Lewis & Jason Schwartzman. I would probably say its a mixture between Curb Your Enthusiasm & The Newsroom.

Give the series trailer a watch, it does have mild language, drugs & sex references so for those younger members you've been warned. Click here for the trailer. Worth a watch, enjoy.

Watched the first series of Daredevil. Loved it as an origin series however I'm not watching series two despite rave reviews & people saying The Punisher is awesome. As soon as they introduce all the other comic characters I lose interest, the underlying plot is simple yet great and loved it for that.

Two other series I totally recommend in drama are Billions & The Night Manager, can't praise these enough. Billions is a cat & mouse back and forth but totally watchable.

Other ones which started for a new series which I recommend people jump on are Veep, The Last Man on Earth, Silicon Valley & Game of Thrones obviously.

Last man on Earth is an awesome show, I love how it's evolving. You think is going to head in a sort of cheeky fun slacker direction then it grows a massive beating heart in the middle of the comedy and throws in some seriously poignant moments. The finale to series 2 has you alternately welling up and giggling.

Other than that I watch GoT like the rest of the world, Flash which is good fun, Daredevil as mentioned previously is an incredible treatment of the source material. Jessica Jones was just as good for the personal nature of Kilgrave's psychopathy, he had no interest in the world, he just wanted Jessica, and the story that comes from that disturbing notion is fantastic. Plus David Tennant is terrifying as a petulant manchild with an insidious power.

Another must watch: Scream (TV Series) it's great for teens (my age) and it is a great adaption of the ip. It's scares are quite good as well and the acting is quite good as well! Can't recommend enough.

Currently enjoying series 4 of Friday Night Dinner, the other 3 series were just as hilarious as the current series. It's one of those sitcoms that I never stop laughing at.

My most favourite TV series of all time was Marchlands in 2011. There were only ever 5 episodes but I now have it on DVD. It's creepy and has a really good storyline
Life is a roller coaster. You can either scream every time you hit a bump or you can throw your hands up in the air and enjoy it.

I'm really getting into Arrested Development on Netflix. An excellent American TV show. Also Robot Wars is good for nostalgia.

Two shows which will only likely have one series and are short but are great to watch are: The Night Of & Fleabag

Another good comedy which will most likely get renewal is Vice Principals with Danny McBride. Trailer.

For those not caught up with Narcos season 1 then coming soon is season 2 and it looks incredible! Trailer.

If we're talking recently, then the shows that have done it for me over the last year or so are:
- Jessica Jones
- Daredevil
- Stranger Things
- Gotham
- Brooklyn Nine Nine
- The Night Manager

Loved every episode of Black Mirror, too.

All time, the obvious drama classics like Breaking Bad, The Wire, Dexter etc, and tons of alternative comedy - Alan Partridge, Brass Eye, Spaced, Garth Marenghi's Dark Place, Stewart Lee, The Thick Of It, Armando Iannucci Shows, Big Train, The Day Today, Nathan Barley etc
