Never been in, but was the result of a refurb of what was there before (can't remember?) in 2003 and brings some culture and variety to the park's food offering. Nice addition, well themed, not too sure whether it fits in with the Merrie ENGLAND theme, but I'm sure it's much appreciated by anyone who likes Eastern food (does it do Thai??) and anyone after a change from fastfood :)

 :P

Eastern Express is brilliant! The curries are awesome! When ever I go Towers with my family, we always go there (but sadly, my friends don't like indian food). The people that own it have a main resturant near by called Thornberry Hall and that's brilliant as well!!! :P

I thought this place looked very promising as it's different from the usual fast food junk at AT.

Ordered a meal deal type thing. What I noticed was, not enough of anything. Not enough curry and not enough rice. The food was hot (spicy) but bland and of poor quality. My friend's food was the same.

For what we got, the food was over priced, small amounts and no taste. Definately won't be going back there.

I really enjoyed my curry here - it wasn't brilliant but better than most fast food in my oppinion.

I had lamb curry - which was quite nice, but as Uncle Dan said, the food is quite spicy but lacks real flavour. I also would have liked them to be more specific - e.g. serve Lamb Rogan Josh rather than just "Lamb Curry".

The naan bread was a bit flat, but otherwise good. I was surprised to see they had a proper tandori oven to cook them in!

Drinks were pittiful, but if anything there was too much rice. My meal was also served with a nice fresh salad.

I went to Alton Towers yesterday for Towers Treats and Trials and we went to Eastern Express. I had a Chicken Tikka Wrap and it was gorgeous. It had fresh salad, chicken and chilli in it and it was so nice. :D

Decent sort of eatery if you are looking for something a bit different to eat, rather than typical high street fast food. Only eaten there once and in my opinions, its overpriced, but the food was ok, as I didnt really expect too much from it. The smell is always fantastic though as you walk past! :D

It's ok to eat here when there's a big queue for other outlets, but it's not my taste. Also it's not that good for drink refills as the don't do them.
