Am I the only person to remember this?

I used to ride this instead of doing the insane queues for Corkscrew. In my opinion it gave a much better. It was so high and thrilling and fun.

Absolutely delightful ride and I've always harboured very fond memories of it.

So, imagine how delighted I was when I found out I was going to get to ride it at Knoebels? It was chucking it down with rain, but I didn't care! I was going to get back on my beloved 1001 Nights!

Sadly, you're best resigning things to memory. The world has moved in in the fifteen years since 1001 Nights stood tall and proud at Alton. The effect has been lost with the more extreme ways ride manufactures have of thrilling us now - even Blade gives a better ride.

So, in hindsight, it was probably an excellent move on Alton's part to get rid when they did, to try something a little different...

Hi, I remember this ride too! Was always too scared to ride it, too high!
