In my opinion, the singing barn is an ageing attraction which is season by season becoming out of date.
It still satisfies some but the majority of the visitors who visit Alton Towers expect more. Alton Towers has not invested in this area of the park for quite some time and now with the Ropers living just round the corner I would imagine that it would be difficult to develop the area much further.

Although Alton Towers are renowned for being innovative the options for development are still very limited I personally would like to see a new flat like a ultra max the probability of this happening are slim.

This is one of my son's favourtie bits of the Farmyard. Yes, it's cheesy and a little bit tatty, but for kids at that age, it seems just incredibly appealling, running round, pushing those buttons. The rude pig even raised a smile from my dad!!

The premise is a barn full of animals and other farm items, singing Old MacDonald's Farm. It's a bit loud, and the animals are all started individually by pressing buttons on the fences, at which point they spring into life. Close examination reveals it does need a little TLC by the end of the season (and I am reliably informed that the rear tyres on the tractor are on backwards!) however it seems to transfix under 3's in a way only taxidermy can

It's old skool and low tech, but the kids love it.
