This is a magnificent structure that has to be seen! There is so much to explore. Alton Towers have installed steps so that all floors are accessible. There is even access to most of the roof and with it fantastic views of the park and scenery around it!

Also a great place for hide and seek! :P

Note some of the areas are not very well lit so extra caution on the steps.

I love the towers, I love history to the extent that when I’m walking about AT outside and in I think to myself about the history of the pieces of ground I’m walking on. Who has been here before and what purpose did the area serve 100 years ago stuff like that.

It’s always a shame on each of my visits that I see boarding saying there spending 1.1 million on it but it never seems to change from the front. I guess there spending the money in other areas but id really love to see the main face of the towers cleaned up and fitted out. But then would it lose some of its magic?

The ruins are great to look around. Also in 2008 more of the rooms are getting a refurb and also a new coffee shop in the conservatory. It's nice to spend time in there during the summer exploring the rooms and also looking for remains of old things. Also during closed season events like treats and trails and hullabaloo, it attracts more people as in the main season people just don't bother as they have paid for rides. 10/10.
