Been on the first 9 holes, not much theming going on and to be honest i could only tell which ride the theming was around from the music.

In oposition to amylovesaltontowers's comments, I think it is very easy to associate the holes with the rides, bar the first 2 holes, which are not very clearly nemesis themed in my opinion. My thoughts are that the theming is fantastic and the 9 holes that I have played so far are brilliant and really challenging (even for a TTF golf champion like me  ).

I think this attraction is an excellent addition to the resort area fro hotel guests, although I cannot really see many normal day guests staying an extra half an hour or so at the end of the day to play golf (price, time, tiredness, journey time back etc, etc) - it might have to be something to be planned for a next visit if day guests do play. But as said, I can see hotel guests making use of it.

I think the pricing structure is questionable and the managment should look at lowering it.

I had a go at extordinary golf and thought it was really good even though I wasnt too good at it  .

Loved the theming it was brilliant and you could easily tell what rides they were. My favourite hole was the driving school one as I just love that theming.

Also i really like the sound effects on the Hex and Air hole. All in all I think that it is really good and I can't wait till the rest of the holes are done :D .

Fantastic!

Sums it up nicely for me really, a quality addition, excellently themed. Love the music and atmosphere. The landscape of the place is very well done also. I hope Alton install more attractions like this and stretch all the way to the valley.

Positives :
Fun
New
Exciting
Good theming

Negatives
Not very cheap
All the holes in one cost would be better

Was great to get a go on the whole course yesterday. Is very well theme... could do with more sound effects, or interactive stuff. The sound effect that now plays when u get your ball in the top hill on HEx was a great ide. The Flume tap could do with more water coming out of it. Enjoyied the scary chicken that Kelly seemed to hmmm excite.. that no one else did when we did the same as her.

Titler's right that it's not cheap, and maybe just do it as one course, though i can see that some people will only want to do half of the course due to time or whatever... though after we finished the first half of the course, i was exspecting more so it's a good job we paid to do the whole course. Does look great from a distance and to be in it. They have made a good job of it, and a great way to relax the day down after running around the theme parks! Also lets the traffic die down before you head off home!!

Fantastic addition to the resort. Great way to spend some time in an evening if you're staying in the Hotels (because there's not really much else to do!) and also a really nice end to the day if you're travelling home.

The prices are not cheap, but I believe are reasonable compared to similar attractions at resorts across the world. The level of theming I think is very good compared to Alton Towers' recent efforts, and I particularly like how almost perfectly matching the theming is to its' ride counterpart. The sound effects are brilliant and for a game of crazy golf, I think each hole offers quite an engaging and imaginative challenge.

I think it's a great shame it wasn't all open and ready on time for open season to be honest, and playing next to a construction site hasn't been the most immersive of experiences. It would have been nice if it could have all opened with the park - ready and finished - but saying that, it's been worth the wait. :)

Extraordinary golf was a fantastic addition to the resort in 2007. The prices are a little too expensive, but it's well worth it with annual pass discount :). The holes are nicely themed around the park's signature attractions which adds extra magic to the attraction. The waterfalls and sounds add to the experience of course with sounds on every hole :).

Nice way to end a day on park or a stay at the hotels. I'd give Extraordinary Golf a 10/10 due to the theming and effects used on the course. Great addition :D.
