Roald Dahl Land Idea |

| I had this idea and thought that it could work quite well in Cred Street.
With Charlie and the chocolate factory.
Then an apple coaster based around James and the giant peach with big 3D characters.
A walkthrough attraction based around George's Marvelous Medicines, with bubbling potions and lots of interactive things.
As well as the driving school being themed around something Dahl related, I've not thought much about it.
I did here this comment by somebody else as well, but I've enhanced it a bit more. Apologies to whoever it was.

| Nice ideas, but I think we have all worked out that the cost of licenses for such attractions results in less money being available for the actual rides themselves.
So sadly I don't think it would be feasible for Alton Towers to fork out £10,000,000 on licenses when that £10,000,000 could itself fund an amazing attraction.

| I think their good ideas and if Alton Towers didnt have to pay lots of money for the rights to make the ride then they would of been good additions to Alton Towers.

| I agree, brilliant ideas but you are almost at the cost a really good rolercoaster simply off the licensing fee's, a decent coaster attracts a far bigger audience and brings in muhc more revenue than a themed Dahl ride.

| Alton do need a replacement for the beastie though...
Maybe an apple coaster in cred street, maybe themed around Bertie from that Bassett thing or a chocolate land.
Then in adventure land add another coaster which is another pinball styled one.

| it would be great if they done the d ickins thing, with mr dahl, gave a whole park to his great writing. ive said it before that alton should not use known stuff, thats what disney, universal, warner and so on do.
Alton should keep it for themselfs. hex, nemmy, dual all have thier own mythology, and that makes them special.
love dahl, but lets keep alton clever, trust me its a lot smarter when they come up with the concepts(well not latly).
A writers theme park its self would be great, tolken,cs lewis, king, dahl, brookmyre, c clarke, lots of great materal out there to do that.
