The next "official" TTF meet-up will take place at Alton Towers on 9th February 2008, with an optional one night stay somewhere on the Saturday night for those that want to at the Weathervane Lodge, Meir Park (around 25 mins drive from Alton Towers). This would probably also mean some people do the park for a time on the Sunday, too - although with less rides open than normal, obviously the park may not warrant the full 6 hours of opening. Who's to say.

Use this thread to discuss accomodation plans and also if you plan to go, do post - and you'll be added to the who's going list. The park itself opens at 10:00am on the morning of Saturday 9th, and rides including Air, Nemesis and Spinball Whizzer will be open. Please note some people have also decided to stay at Alton Towers resort on the Friday night, as the room prices with annual pass discount are only around £90 for four on a B&B basis.

I'd rather perhaps do ATH/Splash opening weekend, and its a lot financially to cram in

I'm quite happy if its the Hungry Horse though - at least we can all get drunk and sleep over and eat there, plus its opposite Lidl round the back of Hotel Colosseo/McDonalds, and the accomodation is cheap and cheerful!

I know I have either 3 or 4 spaces in my car, depending on if I share a ride with someone else or not.

Rooms are only £30-40 as DanB says, so its gonna be next to nothing really. I know that the Weathervane Lodge isnt special, but its attached to a pub (Hungry Horse... nice food!), got a McDonalds and Lidl round the back of Hotel Colosseo next to it, and its about 10 mins from Ray The Gay's house... or someones anyway

I'll probably be there, both days, but not staying over anywhere (home is cheaper!). By then I'll have mondays off so I can finally do full weekend meets. Yay!
