Cariba Creek

A STROKE OF GENIUS!

If you just happen to be checking into the Hotel in the morning & the little ones go off to explore, the next thing you know they are right back to you telling you to come to the window for a most amazing sight.

The spectacle of the huge park is just overwhelming. One second you will see the Gigantic clock tower start to tip & drench everyone below, the next there is another rider on the master blaster shooting right past you!.

Looking at the park is one thing, but being in it, well thats another!. from when you leave the changing rooms you get a true sense of the enormity of the colossal park. You just stand there. Speechless. Before the urge takes you over & you get to work on the where to start first.

The treehouse is great & also gives you a sense to do things that youve probably always wanted to do all your life, I mean, Whats more satisfying than to wait high in the tree house before an unsuspecting victim below gets a good soaking from a bucket of water you released!. (Even I myself who would not usually think of doing somthing like that would get an urge to get somone with a bucket of water!)

The slides are all fantastic. Master Blaster deserves a special mention. The feeling you get from being shot up a hill is not somthing that you want to miss!.

Cariba creek is like I said a stroke of genius.

Jon.

PS, also if you are staying in the hotel its also nice to take the walkway to the park & see how still, Tranquil & caribbean esque the place is. It looks really good with all the tropical style lights!.

The only downside of the park is the floor which is supposed to be like a beach, not too comfortable if you are walking barefoot!.

Wild Adventures

What a fantastic experience, I would recommend visiting the water park to everyone.

You can spend hours discovering new things to do, wether it be chilling in the hot springs or playing in the tree-house. You could be 5 or 55, this place has something for everyone. Remember you don't have to stay in the hotel to be a guest.

We found the best time to visit - during closed season, or during meal times (after 7pm-9pm).

Even if you're not a huge fan of waterparks, I still think this would tickle your fancy; jacuzzis, the big bucket, a lot of slides, etc.

It really is an adventure where ever you go. The atmosphere in there I feel is magic. The only thing it misses is a wave pool :)

When you make your way down the stairs it all becomes very unreal. Big themeing and a wonderful stylish shop with brand names you just think 'Wow' and I’m not even in the water park. You enter the changing rooms which smell a bit, but you put your belongings in the lockers and enter.

As you enter a bright light hits your eyes. As you look around you see the huge fountain in Lagoona Bay. The Master Blaster track high in the ceiling, then the Tipping Bucket sending gallons of water down onto oncoming guests.

You don't know where to start and it’s frustrating that you don't know where to board Master Blaster. You ask one of the friendly lifeguards and then you walk to the Master Blaster exit. You queue for quite along time but finally you collect your ring and run to the start.

Master Blaster is amazingly fun from beginning to end. Such fun and even an on-ride photo. Amazing tree-house fun, shooting water pistols, dropping and filling buckets.

You can relax in Volcanic Springs or The Bubbly Wubbly pool and grab a snack at Quenchers.

A fantastic day out and full money's worth. A fantastic hidden special place that you can really retreat to.

Edit by Liam: Ollie, please put at least some effort into spelling your words and please also be a bit more careful with your puntuation. Reviews need to be of a higher quality than normal posts.

Cariba Creek- well worth your money! It is as if you have been mysteriously transported to a tropical paradise! There is always plenty do in cariba creek!

The slides are fast, furious, fun and provide plenty of laughter. the master blaster is cariba creeks biggest slide-but it doesn’t seem right being blasted uphill on a waterslide! You can't see where you're going and it has finished soon after it begun! It is great fun!

If hurtling around on a rubber ring really isn’t your thing, there is plenty more things to do in Cariba Creek! You can drift slowly around the lazy river, have gallons of water dumped on your head under the tipping bucket, climb and explore the wacky waterworks tree house or just simply swim in the lagoona bay!

If all that has made you hungry, take some time out and catch your breath in quenchers-serves light snacks and drinks!

If you still feel worn out, why not relax in the Jacuzzis or (if the weather is nice!) rest outside on a sun bed!

It is a great family day out but it seems very disappointing when you have leave! if you have little kids, they will be worn out.

Will’s rating:

10/10 - A great day out!

Edit by Liam: Will, all sentences begin with a capital letter - there was not a single upper case letter in the whole review. Spellings also corrected.

Travelled all the way from South Africa with the family for a holiday at Alton Towers / Cariba Creak.

What a blast.

Kids ( and mom & dad ) spent THREE days in the Creak.

A truly world class facility. Great rides, lots of fun features. Something for everyone.

Huge amounts of supervision with life guards everywhere and underwater cameras to monitor any possible mishaps.

Now if they could only dump the food facility in the Creak and install something more dynamic with a better variety and pricing :)

Amazing & definitely Extraordinary

It all starts when you enter the Splash Landings doors, you rush to the desk to ask were your going if your a firsttimer, then run down the stairs not missing the views from the windows

The changing rooms clean & have that fresh smell unlike some, you enter one door get changed & come out another, lock your clothes in the £1 refunded lockers & off to the showers you go, the so to say journey starts there with huge rocks covering the walls, then you enter & think WOW! The Caribbean theme gives it a warm but exciting feel

Were to go first its really that impressive, then you hear a bell ring, what is it? Then you hear the screams & see a massive cascade of water drenching kids & adults alike underneath

Slides, rapids, bubble pools were to start? We headed for the main pool & up to the Wacky Waterworks tree house were the real fun begins, lots of interactive features. The main part of the Wacky Waterworks is the 1,000 litre Tipping Bucket that drenches everyone underneath now & then at the sound of the bell ringing

The main attraction at the park is the Master Blaster, at 208 metres long & 5 metres per second its sure to leave anyone breathless, then there's the other slides Rush & Rampage which are really good filler slides.

There's really a lot packed into such a small area, it really is Amazing & Extraordinary

Was utterly impressed with Cariba Creek when I visited it on both Feb 9th and 10th.

Wasn't entirely sure what to expect to be honest as I'd read mixed reviews but my partner and I were highly impressed. Hotel reception advised us to visit Cariba Creek on Feb 9th as the hotels were fully booked on the 10th so we duly took her advice and she wasn't joking! Including my partner and I there must've been around 10 people in total in the waterpark throughout the 4 hours we spent in there.

Was very impressed with the general themeing, the slides, the lazy river and the outdoor area. Was certainly surreal going down Flash Flood and sitting in the Bubbly Wubbly pool in the blizzard conditions of that weekend. The huge fountain in the main Lagoon pool was stunning and certainly added to the whole place. Was also very excited that Wacky Waterworks was open to adults too! (well if it wasn't no-one told us! LOL).

The Master Blaster was a wicked experience, quite unlike any water slide I have ever experienced. Being shot up hill and past folks eating their meals is quite something else  Glad I got the opportunity for many re-rides as I had many people previously reporting Q's of up to 45 mins for it!

Overall though Cariba Creek highly impressed me and although I feel £12.50 is steep for a day guest I was quite happy to incorporate the cost into my hotel stay and would do so again.

Well done Tussauds!

Better for the Family with Over 5s

Looks good - however with a toddler in tow, is a bit of a disappointment. The small 'Little Leak' area is boring and uninspiring for toddlers (except for the two small slides, which are probably best for the 3+), and unless your child is entertained for hours on end by paddling and watching others get soaked, then the large lagoon area when you enter is soon over and done with in 20minutes. Under 5s are greatly restricted (unless they are tall enough to go on the rides) with them not being allowed in jacuzzis etc either. There is a special rate for part-day admission, which I was happy to pay, however would have felt robbed had I paid the full price to take my 2 year old in.

It IS possible to design waterparks suitable for all - I've been to such locally and abroad, pity this wasn't considered here :( as it could be brilliant with a few more toddler-specific items.

I look forward to returning in 18months time when he is bigger and more able to enjoy it!!

When we first peered down at the waterpark, we was in awe..... Our 6 yr old was practicly salavating at the mouth to get stuck in!

Once you scrabble to get into your swimwear, you take a shower before entering the water park, you really don't know where to start. There are deckchairs all over the place with towels drapped over them , and trying to find a chair is difficult enough!

When you look around, you really don't know where to start, so you have to just get stuck in! Wherever you go you are likely to get drenched or sprayed by someone with a bucket of water above you!

In our opinion it isn't clearly sign posted in there where to find the flume rides, or get your ring from, or where bubbly wubbly is etc. We think more thought could have gone into that.

Saying that, really lived the bubbly wubbly which Is an outdoor heated area, really nice for adults to chill after a busy day at the theme park!

The flume rides were excellent, the only downside is you have to queue for your rung, then queue for your flume ride.

Overall another thumbs up, great for all the family. Take some ear it's as it's very noisy in there, even the staff wear them. It would be nice to have the clock in a better position and brighter, we didn't spot it until our 2nd day in and it doesn't stand out where they have it at present.

It would also be Niceif there was a quiet area for adults to swim away from all the noise ! Maybe there is but we didn't find it!would recommend going in between 6-8pm as it's generally quieter as a lot have left to go for dinner.

Current prices £ 14 /adult
£10 /child

£69 annual waterpark pass
£156 family of 3

Sorry I don't know any other prices.
