A few pictures of the pathway from the FV side, courtesy of this obliging workman who was too 'busy' to notice me: https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/lNbbfjBcsaFn8oiSObhrZK61A4DdpiVm8_TQwBvm6G67Wpti-cKNlRtIEGpMjio4ntfYkHHkMPwCG-gDDP_C_FBymmPGjpomGA55MdVjnpktSuT6xHiOV8EpfKjC2T3Q0Q-DithF6lBRX5_vGMjU6wC...
Has anyone taken any pics of the new Forbidden Valley entrance? Couldn't seem to find them in any of the future topics. If not, a workman had left the gate open on Friday and I've managed to take a few.
I'm very much conscious of the 'new' factor which is why we're already planning a return trip in 2012 to see how she stands up on a second visit. My mate Pete's database only allows him to put up to a 9.5 in for a ride the first time he tries it to attempt to mitigate the 'ooh, new and shiny' ...
I've just done a slightly bonkers Asterix-and-back-in-a-day trip and OzIris blew me away. After careful consideration I'm happy to put it in as my personal number 1 - everything from the ride experience to the q-line to the themeing is brilliant. There's a different aspect of the layout ...
A wee chat with a certain former TT-founder on Saturday indicated that the container shop has been dropped in favour of a smaller merch stand, similar in size to the sweet shop in Mutiny Bay.
Having been fortunate enough to do Thirteen Boot Camp, I rode Air during closed season. It was really eerie walking in to FV from the forest path and the place being completely deserted as we walked through. Just a few people in the Station, and no cars in the car park as we swooped past...
Here's a thought as to the walk through. Assuming the lifts are fake lifts a la Charlie or The Living Seas (before Nemo) then you enter the lifts at 'ground' level, they go 'down' to the 'catacombs' level, you exit. Some kind of initial show where the original route back to the lifts is blocke...
The 'blob things' on the vents are supposed to be massive condensation droplets I believe. If you look very closely at the pipes that go in to the top of Rehydrator you can see the holes where they used to be mounted up there as well. Ironically, the Fanta Orange has made these holes easier to see. ...
Well, I'm pretty disappointed. Also, the relatives of the original visitor who we bought the DVD for that was linked in the OP are here at the moment and were really looking forward to getting *their* DVD this weekend. When we were buying ours there were at least six other people waiting for their D...
Wow. This thread covers just about everything I've been thinking about Towers of late. Stick my name on the email as well. Now I don't want to get into a 'my friend heard Ian Crabbe's third-cousin removed' type rumour, but another friend of mine (bootcamper, passholder & general enthusiast) had ...
If you look at one of the photos of the 'Atlantis' arch, it appears that the sub themeing is sitting in a small recess which will probably be filled with water. Hence the fence ;)
Hi! *waves* <- Notice the username ;) The water rides aren't on the DVD because we didn't go on any. To be honest, I'd never normally bother with a DVD but we had a friend visiting from France and we wanted a special memento of her visit. Yes, the editing is a bit ropey in places, but I think it's b...
My opinion of Thirteen has been up and down over the last 12 months. As a lucky bootcamper, I rode it 8 times with no effects and was completely loving it. But I realise now the situation had been engineered to make us react like that. I do still remember walking in to the station and being extremel...
Diogo: Local? I live in Loughborough! It's a good 2+ hours away from Margate. Hopefully I'll make some friends while I'm there and I can find somewhere to crash. Furie: Didn't know you were involved in that effort. If I could just say 'thanks' - it was a hell of a good try. New Pleasureland shows ju...
