Re: The Smiler

Went to AT with the Mrs just before the kids broke up for summer, we had a great day overall and the park is looking quite well. The Smiler provides a nice and impressive view when you walk into the x-sector and the queue line is fantastic, i wish AT could do the other queues up to the same standard...

Sorry i don't mean to come across as racist but they were the ones causing the majority of the problems, their were several large groups of them being very anti-social, maybe it was just a school trip or something but they were hanging around in gangs and purposely intimidating other guests. I think...

Re: 20th March - Not quite the perfect day out

Now for the bad stuff. Nemesis was closed pretty much all day, not sure if it was open at all despite the staff telling us it would reopen before the end of the day 4 times, also the reason for the ride being closed was that it was rusty and they didn't want to get rust on people apparently  ...

20th March - Not quite the perfect day out

Oki here we go, park looks great, couldn't see any of the more problematic effects broke, neme waterfalls, rapid waterfalls, blivvy mist, rita smoke, all looking amazing. Park wasnt too busy and we managed to get a pretty good ride count. Staff in general were superb i have to say, very entertaining...

How can you critisise Disney when you get theming like this.... http://www.coasterforce.com/plugins/p17 ... s/4565.jpg http://www.coasterforce.com/coasterphotos/btmmain2.jpg You get what you pay for at Disneyland, everything is clean and well maintained, and new rides are well themed, and brilliant...

I admire the amazing theming and everything but personally i dont think it comes close to matching the likes of IOA or Seaworld for value, gimmie some thrill rides and staff without forced smiles (we actually heared a member of staff getting told off by radio for not smiling enough when he was tell...

Disney isnt exempt from critisism atall, infact i hate the place, the whole edutainment thing just doesnt work for me at all... i dunno what it is really.. it just comes accross as really forced and false. I admire the amazing theming and everything but personally i dont think it comes close to matc...

Then again there is still the tree issue.

Nothing that an accidental leak from a small aircraft carrying high strength weed killer precisely as it flies directly across the valley wouldn't sort out.

Its hard to compare parks of different styles, i mean just look at a six flags park compared to Disney, id rather go to a six flags park anyway but most others wouldn't. Its all to do with what you value as the most important quality's for a park. I say Six Flags over Disney because im just not real...

Those fingerprint lockers are great for a lot of people but don't work for everyone all the time, my parents fingers never got recognised when they returned (the same at park entrance), which meant my finger was required every time...which was a bit of a pain considering i wanted to go off and do my...

Painful, old and it just looks cheap.. even by AT's current theming standards. Id like to see it replaced by a flat one year and a nice coaster built somewhere else the next (i dont think 2 coasters would look right around there) . Change ugland to raceland and get it over with :) Reason: The park n...
