Re: Are you a good driver?

1) Either you left the handbrake on or its low on brake fluid or its broken. 2) Depends how snowy or icey really... 3) I think the highway code says about 300ft but most cars will pull up well within that. 4) Assuming there are no lanes to keep to, keep to the left. 5) Brake, Stear away from the ski...

Realise this is my first post since 2006 but I just thought yesterday at Alton needed commenting upon because it was great from A-Z, helped by the smooth working of everything and excellent staff! The first thing we (4 mates from work and I) got when we got out the car at the monorail station was we...

At the moment my favourite ride at Alton Towers is Rita as it is exciting and unique, and the adrenaline rush is massive. However, I think it is more of a novelty ride and the excitement of it is limited and so the greatest ride ever at Alton I would say is Oblivion as it provides the adrenaline and...

I would say that the rides posted above are more suited to a fun fair and not to a Theme Park. Blade should stay as it attracts a wider audience than any of the one posted above and is one of the few rides left with a family audience. We have things like the ones being suggested in the form of Submi...

I used to have a fear of some of the bigger roller coasters but now I know that their is nothing to be afraid off and i will go on any roller coaster. The first time I went on a roller coaster i was scared of was the PMBO at BPB and I loved it and ended up going on it about 7 times in that one day. ...

I'm not a great fan of topspins and they aren't unique like ripsaw and also have a more limited market as i know for a fact that a lot people don't like them as they make them feel sick and such like. I would always keep ripsaw as it is a great ride and will be very hard to replace witha new flat as...

I love the rita one and the whole way it is presented, very unique and cleaver. I would say that I'm not very keep on the oblivion one as it has a slight clearly edited and tacky look about it. The pictures on the Air photos are also good and are always nice and clear.

I very much doubt if they could fit a rollercoaster in that space and they are both great rides and should be kept.

I would love to see something totally unique and new to the UK as flat rides have a tendency to be pretty much the same through out every park you visit. Something with a talking point that would attract visitors would be ideal. I would say that flat rides are sometimes harder to dream up than coast...

I would say that blade has a good few years in it yet, it is still a great ride to go on, and i always give it a go when i'm at the park. If it was to be replaced I would like to see a launched tower (like the ice blast at BPB) although this is unlikely to fit and would go above the tree line, altho...

I would say that a ride is pretty much the same with or without the themeing, although the theming adds to the effect and makes the ride more enjoyable. I personally like the idea of getting sponsored rides, as we still have the rides but with the money Alton make from the sponsors we can get new th...

I would say that some rides are scarier the second time round as the first time you go a a new white knuckle ride you tend to hold on more etc. and the second time you tend to stop holding on as tight, making the whole ride more enjoyable and thus more scary. Like Nemesite said you also know what to...

Air has hardly ever broken down when I have been at the towers, Of recent times the ride that I would have to say was most unreliable would be Rita, Being the newest ride, You might have thought it would be the least likely to break down, but there you go.

Alton may not put food and merchandize prices up this year, but the odds on them lowering the prices are very bad.

The prices are high, but this is the same at most tourist attractions and compared to some of the places that I have visited they are cheap. I think that the shop is too expensive, but there isn't much that people with taste would buy in their anyway. The food is too expensive and needs to be looked...

If you have a problem or want to say abusive comments to my brother (the one you insulted) then say them towards me and we'll see who comes out on top.

Another quick point, we don't have a spell checker at the moment ;)

Well it is not the larest lake in the world so I can't see what it will be. I doubt this "large" ride will be here before 2010, quite simpily because Blackpool are very bad at getting new rides, especially big ones. Everybody still goes on about the PMBO, but it has lost its thrill if you ask me and...

Its not exactly a log flume, but it is a log flume type thing, More like a river adventure. But the Valhalla at Blackpool is the best water ride that I have ever been on, it has such great themeing (unlike most BPB rides) and is a very long and has a great surprise around every corner! The best log ...

I like the Nemesis music as it shows the "Dark side" that it is supposed to represent. I think that the idea of ride music is to add atmosphere to the ride and to represent what it stands for, this done well on Nemesis. I'm not a big fan of ride music as it can sometimes get on your nerves, but nemi...
