Hearing the rumour of Nemesis getting an overhaul/re-track I'd love to see the possibility of Oblivion receive the same attention in a few years’ time, BUT... just after the tunnel, I’d love it if they added a new element like a barrel roll or something. Back in its day, the whole world’s fir...
Nemesis could get overhauled! https://www.lifthillsandthrills.com/nemesis-at-alton-towers-set-for-a-major-overhaul/ big news indeed! but welcome news regardless! The ride is getting on a bit now, i always thought due to its popularity the ride would never be removed but just retracked much like Hul...
is there no way possible that a new huss top spin could be put back in Ripsaws place simply as Ripsaw 2.0? the restraints for the Suspended version look a lot more comfortable. I just think its rubbish all these flat rides have been removed over the years and nothing has really replaced them.
I think with the advent of projection mapping technology I think the ride could be "plussed" quite a bit during the pre-shows and during the main ride. It's still one of the best themed darkd rides in the UK, plus there's also the legend/tale that strengthens it's tie to the park!
Id like to see Katanga Canyon get a retheme to some form of Aztec jungle theme. I don't think it would be relatively difficult. The colonian african theme the land currently has is quite sparse and doesn't really have that much of an impact. Both Rapids and Mine Train could recieve some kind of ruin...
I’d like to see the Haunted House return back to being its former self, but with an actual storyline and better effects. It used some pretty groundbreaking effects when it first opened, but now they are definitely showing their age. To have something on par with Disneylands Phantom Manor would be in...
I feel like there's too much emphasis on the Secret Weapons as coasters and not enough being done for the smaller filler flat ride attractions. The park have gone through a period of removing flat rides and not actually replacing them with anything. I'd rather see what money was being budgeted for a...
A Way To Transport People To A Space Station As always constructive critisizm is welcome. Please forgive me if the illustrations are a little sketchy, I just wanted to toy with the idea of a lift. I go into a bit more detail on my blog here: https://mattsdesignsblog.wordpress.com/ I don't get it? s...
In a nutshell, this will never happen. For the amount of cars that the Resort gets on a peak day, a sizeable multi-storey would be required. Remember, the Resort can’t build anything that would be seen from outside the boundary of the park, and given the location you’ve mentioned is at the very edg...
Over the last 10+ years the want for a second more established entrance to the park keeps getting tossed around. I’ve often thought as a way to keep park guests nearer to the front of the park and not having to que up to take the monorail, why not use the disabled guest parking just behind CBeebies ...
A B&M Hyper won't ever happen due to the restrictions. Unless they fancy digging a 200ft+ trench... Or if the locals decide not to restrict the UK's largest theme park from building roller coasters. It is so strange that a park with so many world's first coasters, including 3 iconic B&M co...
If anything, this may help them out in the long run. If they could somehow get families in to test the ride out and give their opinions, then they could tweak things and really make it something that's pretty great :) That's why Disney soft opens a lot of their stuff before and then have a proper gr...
What would be great (but highly unlikely) is a completely new story for that area of the park that is still part of the David Walliams world but not solely based off different books he's written already. That way at least it's fresh, more original and may be a little more timeless/lasting.
It won't be Lego Wrong area, wrong park, wrong IP in my eyes.
I do have to agree. It's a bit too high end for the park. Does anyone know if its really true that nothing can be built in the coaster corner area of the park???
Personally, I would very much doubt the area would have a Lego theme. If they were to use another IP then it would need to be one that will stand the test of time. Are you nuts!?!? :p Lego has been going for about a hundered million billion years now! It wipes the floor with the likes of all the st...
The Lego rumour has been knocking about for a few years now and I always thought it was a bit far-fetched, but with the recently announced waterpark over at Gardaland, it seems it could hold some weight. I dunno though, it just doesn't seem right for Alton Towers. Unfortunately we wouldn't see a fa...
Yes, Yes, 1000 Times Yes! :) CBeebies Land has really surprised me with how well they've been able to pull it all off. But i'd much rather the park stay away from IP's The thing with an IP is it can lose popularity after a couple of years and so becomes a burden for the park to keep updating its rid...
Kind of upset it looks a bit happy lol! Was expecting it to be a bit more horror like, or a skull like design instead of it being an actual human feature head design. It’s defo a miniature version of the main themeing element I can tell the facial features are the same as the tarp covered version. ...
This could turn out to be another Air... which I hope it's not. A ride with a totally different theme plonked in a pre-existing area that already has an established theme. It's great the designers get to create the theme's for each new SW project with story etc, but they need to think about the big...
