And it looks like the Studios are making a comeback in the name of Merlin Studios.

Studios never went anywhere, it was only the audio department that was discontinued.

Then Stealth was going to use the name, but didn't, and they asked the public to name it (brilliant idea for a ride they knew nothing about!) Close, but not quite :P In August 2005 there was a poll on the official Thorpe Park website to name the new coaster. The choices were: Peak Fear The Edge IKO...

I don't know about Oblivion but Stealth was originally going to be called The Edge. They had the logo and signs put in place and everything, then there was some sort of issue which meant they couldn't use the name. And personally I hate the name full throttle, its just so predictable and cliched. I'...

I remember reading about that, was in the staff magazine if I recall correctly, I'm pretty sure they actually said they never planned to call it anything like 'Full Throttle' due to the reason you said, so it wasn't actually intended to have that name at any point. I remember seeing a video about Su...

You can hardly blame people for calling "Corkscrew" 'The' Corkscrew seeing as it sounds more natural and even the ride announcements have 'the' in them. Anyway as for the whole issue of people prefixing ride names with 'the', I can honestly say it doesn't bother me one bit. In the great bi...

Well both Thorpe Park and Chessington have scrapped their charges so I highly doubt Alton are about to start charging. :D

So are we sure that, for instance, Air's music changed because the 'rent' ran out or was it actually because Alton just fancied a change? Perhaps it was something as obsure as the CD got scratched or playout method broke and the replacement music was a temporary fix? I emailed the composer about th...

What we have to remeber - this has been designed by a compainy and not the park. That's always been the case though. And it's not a good enough excuse IMO, the company are only going to publish the information Alton Towers give to them and Alton Towers should spend more time proof checking the site...

It's "Alright" as far as I'm concerned. The design is reasonably good but nothing special and the actual content is a little bit thin on the ground. One thing I don't like though is the way the opening times are displayed, it is clearer in a grid format like thorpe and chessie i think.

BUT...... I do not think that they can ban the smoking altogether or enforce it as it is not a government ban (unlike the new smoking ban) and it basically goes against the human rights of people. They could if they wanted. It's a private place with rules and regulations of entry, if they wanted to...

Surely if it was Alton who did it, it would come from an official Alton Towers Youtube Account? Like I said earlier in the topic, Thorpe Park have been known to upload videos like this onto youtube under 'non official looking' accounts so it wouldn't surprise me if Alton have done the same. And loo...

Its worth noting that Thorpe Park have been known to upload video clips onto Youtube. Last year they put up a video of people in fat suits running around the park, some clip about dancing in queue lines and teasers for the fright night mazes. All were uploaded to non-official looking accounts. It wo...

As far as I'm aware first aid training is not part of Ride Host/Operator training. In a situation like that ride ops are instructed to call for immediate assistance from FAW qualified staff.

What music is it meant to be?
It's the music which was used to introduce the evil force or whatever for Electric Towers.

Anyone know the name?

To be honest, although I appreciate Alton Towers management can impose whatever rules they want, why is there a problem with construction pictures being posted on fan sites? If anything it acts as positive PR generating interest.
