This has changed very recently at Alton, and you can now have a maximum of three helpers on each ride - meaning you can fill a row of 4 seats.

they have gone for a wierd mix of dilapidation and a whole new theme and it is wrong. The two are intrinsically linked though. The new area "Dark Forest" is one that has created the dilapidation through the encroaching nature of it. You can't have a crypt within a dark, unexplored forest ...
