Re: Pop Badges

I have nothing against people who collect these but i personally don't like them. I find that they are too big and prefer the smaller pin badges. There is someone (VIP pass holder) who has a massive collection of these pop badges, so they must popular. Good luck with expanding your collection. I gu...

Re: Tree Top Quest - New for 2015

It may seem expensive when coupled with a trip to/ stay at Alton Towers however it's actually cheaper than Go Ape, that's £31 for an adult. I'm interested to see how quickly the slots book up as I don't believe they're offering many per day. Go Ape is almost twice as long for the adult courses thou...

Re: Thorpe Park - The Future

I'm probably just over thinking this, but during Fright Nights i noticed that the old Fungle Safari was having work done to it. I didn't think much into it at the time because i thought it was to do with the dark ride. But having browsed Total Thorpe Park, i looked at the MTD plan and saw the plan'...

Re: Staff Benefits

All Merlin staff receive 40 visits, in two sets of 20. These can be used in any Merlin attraction worldwide for either the staff member or their friends (so they could do one trip with 39 friends, or 40 trips on their own).

Re: Alton Towers 2015 February Half Term Event

Could anyone provide me with information and examples of previous hotel and ticket offers of past years as I'm looking at going this half term but wondered if they do any deals just to make it all a lot cheaper and more of a getaway haha. Thanks. Current hotel price for FHT seems to be around £165 ...

Re: An Alton Towers Wedding

contact the corporate bookings team and ask what venues you can book for a wedding. Does no harm to ask. Even if they aren't lisecned for weddings you may still be able to book one of the large conference rooms or the towers suite for a reception.

Re: Thorpe Park - New Indoor Attraction 2016

I'm betting all my money that it's a Vekoma d-Ride. It's dimensions are similar to those given, it's never been built before so it'd be the first of its kind, and it also fits the family market that Thorpe look to be aiming towards. I'd be surprised if I didn't end up being something like this, it ...

Hi.

Could anyone please tell me if its possible to turn up at night to view the fireworks on any of the nights?

Thanks

Karl

On Friday there is an after 4pm ticket available for £18. On Saturday and Sunday it doesn't matter what time you arrive, it is full price for entry to the park.

Re: FireWorks Night

Anywhere on the lawn in front of the lake opposite the towers gives a good view. Try and get as central to the towers as you can. Many people stay towards the edge of the lawn nearer towers street so you can often get closer to the front quite easily.

Re: 2015 Rumours

Here are some rumours I've heard. Some match others on here, but some are fresh: - SW8 will probably not open until around 2018, possibly because the park wants to recover from the issues which followed The Smiler's opening(mechanical issues, etc) - It will be in the FV, with Ripsaw and Blade being...

Re: Flying Fish - 2014 Closure

The only similarity they have is that they are both a form of rollercoaster. Even that's not technically true (as Flying Fish is a powered coaster), but that's a debate for another day ;) it technically is - powered coasters are a form of rollercoaster - why would they have "coaster" in t...

I think they need a proper 100ft+ tower. Chessington is lame for thrill seekers, get something new.

Chessington isn't designed to be a park for thrill seekers, go to Thorpe instead. Plus they wouldn't get planning permission for anything 100ft plus.

The week between ScareFest and Fireworks is already very very quiet so there isn't a need to have another week after the fireworks.

Re: Alton Towers - Quick Questions

Hi everyone! This is my first ever post, so hoping someone can advise! I'm off to Alton Towers 25th and 26th Sept next week and have two quick (hopefully) questions please! 1. What is the Flambo's buffet like at the Splash Landings hotel? Have heard mixed reviews, mostly negative from googling onli...

Re: Cbeebies Land VS Old Macdonald's Farmyard

To me, Cbeebies Land looks quite artificial and tacky. The obvious thing to attract publicity for a children's area was to mix it up with something they love. Towers got their way out of being creative this time but how many more times will this happen? There was something magical about Old MacDona...

Re: All Day Dining question. can it be reused the next day?

We are planning a trip to AT next month and have decided to buy all day dining passes. We have had them before and know that you get a wrist band and a card which you have to show when purchasing food. This time we are planning a two day trip staying in the hotel and wondered if it is possible to r...

Re: Enchanted Village - Coming in 2015

Theses prices make Disney Hotels look value for money. Who gonna pay over £1000 for a family of 4 for 2 days in the park and 1 night sleep. The standard lodges are the same price as Splash Landings. Around £150 per night (weekends more) and a Family of 4 could sleep and have park access for under £...
