And then you can check the weekly planning lists. I check these regularly to make sure nothing gets submitted without us knowing!!

If/when any plans are put forward (for any ride) ...on which Council website would we find the plans ? Anyone know ? I presume all plans are made public.

It's weird when people reminisce about a mere 10 years ago. I remember visiting AT in 1983 as a 13 year old 8-[ Dang, I'm old. LOL, I'm with you on this one. I remember the early eighties..trying to jump on the 'road train' that took you from the car park to the entrance. I also remember the old 'o...

Wow! what a great video. There was an excellent (but brief) shot the 1001 Knights going above the tree tops, & when it showed the monorail, how many noticed that it mentioned the free car parks ? lol Does anyone remember before the monorail...when you jumped on one of those 'road trains' to get ...

Is it really as fast as Rita when it launches?

I seem to remember it did something like 0-60 in 2.5 seconds, which is very close to Rita. They used to say it accelerated faster than a Ferrari (at the time anyway)

I think one of the main reasons for it going was bacause of these annoying height restrictions, you know this rule that AT can't build higher than the tree tops. :-(
It was a good one though.

That was an excellent description, just how I remember it too, although as it was going through the loop I used to think it wasn't all that fast, & it gave you that little feeling that you might fall out. Maybe that was just me :) It was certainly a thrilling ride, & it's a shane it had to g...

Re: The day my nan accidentally went on the flying carpet...

Anyone remember the flying carpet? The one where you used to leave your stomach at the top!! Anyway years ago we all went (I was only really young) my cousins persuaded my nan to go on the flying carpet. She didn't think it looked too bad and they convinced her that it was some kind of 'viewing pla...

Squiggles, you are so wrong. My mistake ;) Also, something not too many people know... Nemesis is actually the original Vampire from CWOA!! It was moved up the road, and Chessington got a brand new ride.... its so obvious I don't know why more people haven't realised. (I obviously know this becuase...

I remember my older brother dragging me into Doom & Sons, he made me open a door...as a result I had to change my trousers :) It was a classic walkthrough ride, Tussauds should have let it stay. 80schild do you remember the old cable cars ? I don't think I ever went on them, think I was a bit sc...

The 4 man bob was a good little coaster, & the 1001 Knights was an excellent ride... pity they had to replace it with the boring 'Energizer' (later known as Boneshaker),what a disappointment.
