Re: Alton Towers Resort - Quick Questions

Cheers for the help
If I booked the friends and family tickets online can I pick them up from hotel reception? Or maybe at the park entrance the day before? It says you have book online up to 24 hours in advance and can only collect at attraction.

Re: Alton Towers Resort - Quick Questions

Hi I was just wondering what's the cheapest way to get tickets for the theme park for a couple of people who don't have annual passes but are joining us in the hotel, preferably a way that we can get the ticket beforehand so we can all go straight into ERT! We won't be going into the park until afte...

Re: Fright Nights

Ummmm... Annual Pass preview...... Very busy all day, only an hours worth of actually dark maze time between 7-8 and spent the whole hour in the platform 15 queue, there was a whole other queue for the attractions that I didn't know about, hotel guests maybe? Waited until dark for Blair witch but mi...

Re: Fright Nights

Yes the email in March said it would be Saturday the 29th I think, but with only a couple of weeks to go it's not been confirmed yet! We went last year on the Monday, it was brilliant.

Re: Fright Nights

Really looking forward to this now but is anyone else thinking that Thorpe are leaving it awfully late to release the tickets for the Annual pass preview event? or even just to confirm the date?

Re: Fright Nights

Has there been any confirmation of an Annual Pass fright night preview event yet? I don't want to miss it if they release tickets!

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - Quick Questions

Cheers dude, I contacted the Thorpe twitter team this morning but no reply, I've also seen another version of the original email saying its on the Friday the 20th which is confusing! Let's hope it's still on then!

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - Quick Questions

There was mention of a annual pass event on the Saturday the 21st of July because they had to cancel the annual pass preview day in March, any ideas if its still on?

Re: Nurburgring

Exactly, but the managing director of said company has been replaced and the new director has been quoted saying earlier this year "We will check in winter if there is a way to operate it economically. Demolition is the last option"

Re: Nurburgring

I just found this in German. 25/7/17 "Markforts predecessor wanted to tear down the ring racer. "We will check in winter if there is a way to operate it economically. Demolition is the last option." " I can't believe it's basically stood there not operating for almost 10 years, t...

Re: Derren Brown's Ghost Train

Did DBGT 2017 yesterday and it's a massive improvement over 2016, well worth experiencing the new version, it's absolutely excellent.

Re: Galactica

Does anyone remember if Air had this many technical problems? I mean, Galactica seems like it's had a fair bit of bad luck, in comparison to some of the other rides... if it's not the VR causing problems, it the actual ride! Let's hope that it's sorted soon and that's it for the rest of the season....

Re: Spa retraction downsize reduction and/or general discussion

If it was gone it would make a huge difference to my extended family and if we go to the resort and how often, the decision maker of the family is probably swayed by there being a spa more often than you think, plus it was certainly busy enough in the spa at the beginning of this week to warrant imp...

Spa retraction downsize reduction and/or general discussion

What happened to the spa? The UK 1st cbeebies hotel means the spa loses most of its natural light and all of its conservatory and outdoor space. The receptionist said they are getting another outdoor area soon but I can't help but feel the spa has been severely neglected during this recent hotel exp...

Re: Galactica

It's still saying open from 10am every morning on ride times, and every morning after 10, still unavailable, frustrating! Just say it's closed from the beginning, its less disappointment.

Re: CBeebies Land Hotel - 2017

The enchanted lodges were my new favourite thing last year, what's the impact on those with this new hotel? And I can't help but think the spa. Massively in the wrong place now.

Re: Drayton Manor

I was never taken to a theme park for a school trip, we always had to do something atleast vaguely learning based, like the theatre or goape, so I'm a bit biased, but I don't think school trips should go to theme parks, Can a school really ever sufficiently supervise 100 kids in a theme park? Plus t...
